Title: Am I too old?
Posted: 2 yearss ago

I will be 30 this May and we are having trouble trying to conceive a second child, I didn't even have my first until I was almost 28.  Am I asking for too much thinking that I can have another baby or am I just too old at this point?  When I think about it, I am truly happy with only our son, but I get sad to think that I might not be able to have another one.  Am I crazy, selfish, or just plain dumb?

You are defenitely not too old! And especially not dumb, crazy or selfish! If you feel you are having some kind of problems, defenitely talk to your dr sooner rather than later. I know the thought of never having another baby is a hard thing to think. I have thought about whether or not having another baby in my future would be a good idea. We have 3, and adding another might not be the best thing to do, but just thinkinhg about it is hard. If I were you I would defenitely go see my dr. There might not even be anything wrong, and if there is and you decide you want another baby you are still young and I am sure there are many options available.Smile

30 may have been old in the 1940's to have babies, but now? Nah. I thought for sure when I read the title of this, that you were going to say you were nearing 50. My friend is 40 and is pregnant with her 2nd baby, so absolutely not. If you want another baby, keep trying and if you suspect something is wrong, talk to your doctor. Maybe talk with him/her now just to get some vitamins or to find out what can help you get pregnant.

Did you read about the 60 year old mother, I couldn't believe it, she made history,  I was 35 when I had my last one, best thing we ever did.  For 9 years we did nothing to stop having a baby just didn't happen then one day I felt different, got a test and Oh My God, I was pg.  My husband couldn't believe it, along with me, so glad it happened.  Relax it will happen for you, sometimes we get to stressed and thats not good.  My prayers are with you.

Oh no. Not too old at all. While it will happen when it happens, you aren't too old at all. That's why they call them "accidents" at certain ages. He he he

I had my first baby at 30 and my second at 32 - so do I think you're too old?  No way!

My sister in law had her 4th at 42.  Have you tried the over the counter ovulation kits?  They cost under $20.00 and they can tell you when you are ovulating during the month.  I know this helped my sister in law get pregnant.  I know people that tried for almost a year and got pregnant.  Good Luck to you!!
