A real bummer.

Well, too much of any good thing, I guess...

I read about it this morning, total tragedy.  The whole bit with the DJ's joking about the dangers and when noticing signs did not urge medical attention was very disappointing.

I have heard about this happening before. It happened with a college student and a fraternity initiation.

Its a scary thing!

Yes it has happened several times. There has been at least 2 college students here that have died from water poisoning. Go figure you can have water poisoning. But drinking water too quickly and in excess can cause you to die from it. What happens is when you drink that much water too quickly your body cannot absorb the water appropriately. It causes the tissues in the body to swell and it causes your electrolytes to be off kilter. Ultimately it will cause death.



 

I saw them talking about it on The View today.

 

Unbelievable story.  Very very sad

I heard that the DJs are being sued. Stupid people doing stupid things.
