This is a bit personal, but I have been expecting my period for ten days now and I have taken two pregnancy tests that are negative.  I was hoping to actually BE pregnant.  My cycle has NEVER been this late before.  Any one have any advice?

I would probably go to the doctor just to make sure nothing is wrong, especially since you're trying to get pregnant. I hope everything turns out well.

You should go to the doctor.  You could also try another home test, but maybe a different brand that detects earlier.  I'll keep my fingers crossed that you are.

I would go to the Dr.  When my mom was pregnate with me she I never showed up on a test at home.  You should also get checked because there is other things that could be preventing you from getting pregnate and causing your cycle to be late.  That was how I found out that I had a medical condition and then the helped fix it with meds and I got pregnate.

I hope though that you are just pregnate and not reading on tests. I will keep my fingers crossed.

Thanks for the well wishes, but it started today, so no baby .  But I am calling the doctor as soon as the office opens.

I would.  My husband and I tried to concieve for 14 months before we were successful.....I even went to get blood work to check for FSH and other hormones, just to assure that I was fertile.  They say that if you try for over a year, then you qualify for fertility treatments.  As far as the at home tests go, I used one from the dollar store, and it detected my pregnancy before I even missed a cylce.  The way I look at it is; you are either pregnant or not!  The tests don't lie.  They do not show false positive results, so if you get one, even a faint one, then you are pregnant.....however, they do give false negative ones.  So I would just go.  It will ease your mind anyway.  I did, and it helped me know that I was fertile!!
