Sorry to hear that. Yes that is a stomach virus that he has gotten a hold of. Make sure you give him that pedilyte. Dr will tell ya to go with the BRAT diet until he is no longer vomiting or having the runs. Keep things light on his tummy. Wouldnt give milk cause that will curdle in his tummy. Yuck. Plenty of fluids. Little ones can get dehydrated quickly.

For now I would suggest soups, jello, popsicles(i know its wintertime), toat plain, saltine crackers.

so far we have just been doing pedilite and he has been holding it down might give him some saltines when he wakes up and see how he does with those. i started of giving him the pedilite alittle bit at a time with a straw just to make sure he would keep it down then 2oz at a time by bottle every 15mins then just have kept uping it so far so good last one was a 3oz bottle he drank 2oz then didnt want anymore guess he was full then he fell asleep. he had a fever so i gave him tylenol and it was going down slowly i was going to give him motrin but was afraid it would upset his stomach. hopefully hes all good now and mommy and daddy wont get it hehe.

Another good way to bring down a high fever is to put him in a lukewarm bath. Or in this case abit warmer then lukewarm. Set him in the water and pour water on him or use a wash cloth.  Thats how I did it with my kids when they were babies. Motrin is ok also. Shouldnt upset his tummy.  Glad he is doing abit better. Just keep an eye on him.

We went through that last year. We all had it. Jacob was throwing up and had diarrhea for a few days. I took him to the dr, and she said what everyone else did. Pedialyte, and light food if he holds it. She also said popsicles are good too.
I hope Simon starts feeling better soon!

My twins just got over that about a week or so ago.  I also put them on the BRAT diet (bannanas, rice, applesauce and toast) that helped so much, then I added foods back in very slow.

we are taking him to the doctor at 2:30 we are afraid that not enough fluids are staying in his system you give him a bottle or pedilite and it comes out the other end pretty quickly and this morning he threw up again after not doing it for a day. =(

Well that is a good idea. If it hasnt gonna away for a couple day with a small child its best to see the doc. Poor thing. Poor you guys too. Hard to have a small child or infant that is sick. Usually they cant tell you whats wrong. I always hated that.

Good luck.

Rivers started going through the same thing yesterday.  It broke my heart to see him vomit, 4 times in all.  We have been trying to give him small amounts of fluids at a time, so that he keeps them down.  Seems to be working...now I'm waiting to hear back from my husband to see how he is doing today.

doctor said to try the brat diet, give him soy based formula for the time being, chicken broth, and gatorade since hes tired of pedilite. she also gave us an rx for some stuff to help with vomitting if it comes back other than that said he looked good and isnt dehydrated and will hopefully be over it before his bday. im soooooo tired of doing laundry heh.

With the stomach flu always watch for signs of dehydration: less than 3 wet diapers a day, no tears when the child cries, dry mouth. Good luck, poor little guy. It looks like you are handling it beautifully and doing all the right things!
