Tell us if you are happy with the direction that we are taking as a county. The economy, immigration, politics, the war; use whatever you want to justify your answer. Talking about this kind of stuff is absolutely important. Thank god we live in a country where we have the freedom to do so.

If you want to know why I think so, ask. 

Because humans are social creatures and nearly everything we do today is counter-productive to healthy social conditions. This is because we have been marketed to and preached to and speeched to to believe that each of us is the single most important person in the world, and even when we don't believe this entirely (as in we think our kids are more important) we teach them to believe THEY are teh most important single beings.

Now, healthy egos are important, but when your actions don't take into account future generations, or even your neighbors, well, we as a society are not headed in a natural direction.

And you can't fight mother nature.

We don't spend enough on education, we charge too much for health care, our prisons are over crowded, heart disease is our biggest killer, we have borrowed money from even Mexico, and we import FAAAAAAR more than we export because we don't make anything here anymore.

Generally speaking, though life is currently pretty good, I hate to think what kind of smoking heap we are handing off to our kids and grandkids. I didn't even mention global climate change, or Nintendo.
