This bail out is soooo confusing to me, but scary none the less.  This is a lot of money- money we as taxpayers may never see again.  Money given to those who don't like Big Goverment- now they need a bail out and we are just handing it over.  On the radio today they said that this amout of money is a third of US budget!  WOW!  I hope we don't get this extreme.  WIth the rush to do this I hope we don't get in too deep!

This just makes me hyperventilate and want to get my tubes tied.  These are scary times!

I THINK THIS A A NON PARTISON WORRY   ACROSS BOARD  YET ITS BEEN BUIDING FOR YEARS AND YEARS ... I HAVE TO BELIEVE ITS GONNA WORK OUT  IT ALWAYS DOES .. I THINK IT WILL BE MUCH WORSE IF WE DONT DO SOMETHING  MY PRAYER IS SOME BETTER VARIATIONS ARE BORN TODAY  THAT WILL FINALLY TURN IT AROUND  BUT IDONT THINK ANY SAVE WILL  'FIX' THE BUDGET   TILL WE THE PEOPLE STOP  BORROWING OVER OUR HEADS AND GOVERNMENT  OFFICIALS,

    I PERSONALLY THINK WHOOPIE HAD RIGHT IDEA ON BAILOUT  AGREED ONLY IF   ALL BORROWERS GOT THE PAYOUT  STEAD OF TOP EXECS N GOV .  AS ONLY REAL WAY TO  STIMULATE ECONOMY IS RESTORE UNTO US WHATS BEEN STOLEN BY THE FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS  DESIRE US TO GET UNDER DEEP. THEN CHARGE CHARGE CHARGE  INTO THEIR OWN POCKETS ...

What would be even better is if they stop calling it a bail out and called it an investment.  Giving the money out of fear of a depression just isn't enough- we need a return- we are investing this money with hopes that these companies can get back on their feet.  When and if these companies need to repay their debt and be held accountable for $ spent in the future.

I agree that this is not something that just happened overnight- this has been building for a long time.  And I don't think that there is any kind of easy quick-fix that is going to make things all better.  If there is still no accountability for lending and spending, this isn't going to fix anything.  I just don't know.  But I also like the idea of just giving the money to the people who need it, instead of the big corporations who misused it.
