  I think this says more than any of us here  can say on whats really happening over there .... Lets consider on ponder on these voices in next few months ... They know the real story ... we ony know what media feels

 Not just on this topic ,   but its a wonderful example of how things work  and why we must check for ourselves the issues important to us  and not just accept  media takes ...

 I can say while Im enamoured w Mz Palin on  many areas ... I am watching /checking   other areas   and weighing  what I find ...tho I havent always .... sad to say of self ... I want much truth as I can find

Wow that is alot- Just another viewpoint could numbers be higher due to the fact that all branches of the military are recruiting more, full steam of recruiting?  Knowing this conflict/war is still going on the need for more service men drives them to up recruitment.  More TV ads- more posters in schools.  I would love to see statistics- how many are from lower-class communities- does this include the recruitment of felons?   

 

Those men and women are all  already in Iraq  Not new recruits  Its a REENLISTMENT CEREMONY !!  Largest in History  Willingly Re Upping!!  Im Glad  and PROUD of that sacrifice ... As are my many democratic friends ... These are  Lives that have been on the line!! Rich and poor ,   They are saying they Believe in job at hand and are willing to continue to stay and fight ... Black ,White ,Yellow ...  to  suffer the insufferable  heat, the primative   uncomfortable  surroundings ... Without complaint or judgement ... I think Very few here would Disagree w that ... Or judge  the sincerity and qualifications of all who serve   Not a Partison issue .. These  people represent Independants , Democrats Republicans   Every  sector of American life ..

 This post isnt about recruitment , felons ??? poor  Sector??  It isnt about anything  except a call to hear the voices of these people who  seldom get heard  alongside press of other veiw .. We have heard them  now  you can choose to hear these voices  that arent  heard often enuff .. Not about ME nor about You . Insinuating those  military are Felons   and  or too poor   What does that have to do w anything? This  is Insult to troops or have you forgotten ?  I admire  all who've gone , no matter what  affiliation they have  ... including those who disagree ..   

I in no way stated it as a partisan issue- you just did. I just stated questions, valid questions in my opinion.  Although I understand your desire to get information out there please understand people can and will ask questions and raise concerns- that is all part of the process. 

I am in full understanding of what men and Women in the military do.  I watched two brothers- and my father served in Vietnam.  My father always stated I have a right to voice my opinion- for or againest the war- and that standing againest is just as an important as standing for!

I am offended by your comments Holly and think them unfair- just as you want people to respect you-you need to respect others. 

Wow, I think it's awesome that so many soldiers are voluntarily extending their service to our country like that.  Despite the strains of leaving behind friends and family, despite the treacherous conditions and constant dangers, these men and women are giving their all to serve our country.  I am saying that no matter how we feel about any war itself (and everyone is entitled to their opinions) we need to do everything we can to show our respect and support for our troops.

Although some think question and protest and those that go againest Gov't as unpatriotic or "democratic friends"  Those who question keep Goverment in check and prevent  abuse of power.

Although small in numbers their voices should be heard
