if caring for your son in this manner is so uncomfortable to both of you , I suggest you allow a nursing service to send you aide or orderly to do these chores .. Its no sin  and probably better for him ... Simply because you ARE his mom ... and it probably feels shameful to him  to have you see him that way ... as  retired caregiver   things do happen, and there are legit reasons for  inquiring.. but most peple I ever knew hired someone for bathing opposit gender adult kids ... ... and parents for that manner  That is best help I can offer you  and prayers  for sons recovery

So whats the nature of his injuries that requires such care? and yet wont allow coverage home health care?  If hes so badly injured  and no home health allowed . Hes 18 and therefore  by law would qualify for his own care btw  at least I would think   I cant help but wonder.. seems hed be in casts and doped up ...  not w constant salutes .. . I Do know you can incorporate  a male relative/friend to assist  and  again   Ive been caring for peeps my whole life in many different  circumstances   

 

I am so sorry to hear about this, I can not believe you got negative feedback.  This is a very honest concern.  I would probably ask a male friend if any for help, does he have any friends that he is close to, maybe a father of a friend?  There has to be someone.  I wouldn't be ashamed to ask if I were you, talk it over with your son, maybe he has a suggestion of someone who could help that he would be more comfortable with.
