Title: C-section question
Posted: 5 months ago

It has been almost 3 1/2 years since I had Ammon via C-section (not by choice) and I am still experiencing pain and numbness.  I know that the numbness is normal, but what about the pain?  I don't have pain all the time, rarely actually but still have it.

Also, I have been working my a$$ off a the gym and have lost a significant amount of weight (around 50 lbs.) but I can't get rid of this small gut just above my scar.  Before I had Ammon I had a flat stomach and had no problem keeping it that way...only now I can't seem to get it back that way.  Am I ever?

P.S. I hate women in Hollywood and their post baby bodies. Yell

Title: C-section question

I didn't actually take the poll.  I have had 3 C-sections total...2 were not by choice and one was by choice.  Baby #4 was pre-planned as a C-section to save me from anymore major complications.

Welcome to my world!

After almost 6 years I still have numbness and occasional pain.  I have had tons of tests done because it was thought that I had a hernia.  Nope, just scar tissue from one of my many C-sections.  With each new surgery, they actually cut out the old scar, so I only have one scar. I can do sit-ups everyday for years or until I throw-up and I will still have the pooch above the scar.  My doctor said that won't go away.

Sorry to be so blunt.

Just try and remember to look at the bright side, you have a beautiful son!Smile

Ok, I've seen you both in person.  Now I don't know what you look like in a swim suit or anything, but I think you both look fabulous with no visible pooches to be found.

I have had 1 c section and will have another 1 next week!!  I still have a pouch but I also got pregnant with my second when my first was only 6 months old.  So I will have 2 babies under 15 months.  I am sure some of that pouch was from not waiting too long, but I am sure some of it was due to scar tissue fat depositing there etc.   I guess it's just a part of bearing babies.

I have the same thing. I think most if not all women with C-Sections have it. I don't think it is fat because the rest of my tummy is flat but there is this flap of thicker stuff right over the scar. I call it my shelf! I think it is scar tissue.

Three kids and three vaginal births, thank goodness. I have a pooch too but I can't blame scar tissue, I think it is more like chocolate buildup. Oh well, like I say.......I'm not fat, I'm fluffy!!

Yeah, I was going to say...I think that most of us have that pooch!  I have had two vaginal births and I have one too.  I think that it's the extra skin and relaxed stomach muscles after pregnancy.  Ah well, it was worth it!

Im only gonna say Majority of women (tho Not All) have mommy pooches ... Trick for most  of us is KEEPING IT a MATURE WOMANS Curvy SEXY  Belly    (Its simply a form change from pregnancy .) W/out  letting ourselves go ,which then  becomes major health issue and heck of a battle  to win when allowed to creep up .. So   See The SOFT CURVE AS  SEXY !!! Shape of a Woman ..

Both of mine were vaginal births too, and I do still have the pooch going on.  Things got a little stretched out with Emma, and I figured it should be a little better the second time since things had already stretched.  Nope.  It just stretched a different area.  sigh  What do ya do?  I'm trying to work on it and we'll see what happens, but either way, it's definitely more than worth it. Yep, I'm right there with all of you and that pouch!  Mine is c-section too.  My mom has one and when she was super fit, it was there, she always told me was one of the "joys" of having children.  Smile  Of course, she was just being nice about it.  She had vaginal birth with both of us.

I think it has more to do with the ab muscle than anything.  I notice that when I focus on tightening my abs "flexing" the pouch is barely noticable and I'm like "wow" its doesn't look too bad.  But, of course that is not how I walk around all day (wish I did) and so in my normal out and about appearance there is this lovely pouch at the base of my tummy.

I love you guys!  You make me feel so much better.  Because I have seen most of you and I think you are hot mamas!!  I guess I should just be happy there is clothing and that I don't live in a nudist colony...because I really need to wear that bra too now!

Yes, clothing is awesome!  Even the stars, sure because they have more time and $$ to spend on their bodies look better in clothing.  I've seen some bikini shots post-baby and you can see the pouch or pooch in the lower ab if they are flexing!

I personally got it REALLY badly. I have so much extra skin from my two C-sections that my tummy skin dunlops over itself. It doesn't go away no matter what I try or do. Is that what you mean by the "pouch"?

Yes, that is the pouch or pooch of which we refer.  Mine is more than just skin though, it still has a bit of content hanging out behind the skin.  Oh well, it goes very well with the stretch marks I also acquired.  I'm telling you, I am one hot mama!!!
