As some of you may already know, I am directing my church's VBS this year. It takes place July 21-25th. We are having a science theme this year called Power Lab. Last Sunday I got my last leader role filled, thank the Lord. Now I just need voluteers for crew leaders, but that always falls into place the final week before VBS starts. I have been very stressed out about things but really enjoy it too. I am excited for the kids and some of the exciting things they will get to do this year. One craft is making slime....how cool. One science experiment they will encounter is the one with Diet Coke and mentos. I bet you have seen that before. My favorite part of our VBS is the end of the night when all the kids are together in the Santuary and they kids are singing the praise songs for the Sunday program. The kids are excited and bubbling with enthusiasm. I love knowing that what I do is working for the Lord. I know that for some kids that come to VBS, it is the only time during the year that they step foot in a church and are told about the Word of God. That is why it is so important to reach out to these children and share God's love and understanding. It is also a time that I think about all the kid's of the world that don't know about Jesus Christ and His Love. My family has  been praying for the children of the world for awhile now and I hope you would too. Being apart of MommyTalk for this long I know that there are so many people that care so strongly about their kids and other people's kids. It makes me very proud to be a part of this site. THATS WHAT WERE DOING AT OUR CHURCH ALSO  this week ..... Eli's going and my eldest KK is doing a 5 yr old class .  They are Really Enjoying it soooo much !!! INDEED I AGREE ON IMPORTANCE OF VBS,old as I am I Still remember attending VBS  as child  and even meeting Billy Grahams daughter as she was part of a singin team came to one of the classes ... tho I didnt know then who she was .. Just that she , as most our peeps was fun, and we learned about a loving Jesus .. and songs, games , projects verses ... treats ... yup  happy memories .   Anyway  Im with you in my prayers dear ... and I agree we DO have Caring Moms  here ... and many praying moms also ... Many Good thoughts go round in here also ..

There are 3 weeks until Vacation Bible School starts and I am coming up short with the volunteers. I am going to have to start calling people and ask for help, which is something I really hate to do. I understand that people are busy, I am busy too. This is a very worthy cause and I wish that everyone was as enthusiastic about VBS as I am. I know the Lord will provide me with the help that I need. I am just venting.

We are in the final countdown. I am taking a quick break from VBS stuff at the moment. I am cutting 2D beakers and test tubes out of plexiglass and then painting them to look like there is potions inside. I am having a blast, but it is so much work. We are in the prep week, decorating, finalizing food and supplies and more decorating. Last week hubby, myself and a friend made  a 6 foot beaker from tubing and plastic. It turned out great. I will have to take pics of my stage when it is done. Thanks for the prayer Anty...you can never have enough spiritual support. Take care. Hope your kids have fun in their VBS this week.

Vacation Bible School is over for me now, I am a little sad. It was a great and uplifting, not to mention tiring week. We had about 85-90 kids every night. Our new pastor told me that he has been around alot of VBS in the past but he has never seen one that has so much energy and one where the kids looked forward to the next day. That made me feel good. Our mission project was working with the Ronald McDonald House. We raised $425 and collected 4 huge boxes of stuff for them. That was so awesome. We will deliver the gifts in a week or so. A group from my church is going to go up there together and tour the house. This week, the kids have swimming lessons. I had so many people ask me what I was going to do with all my free time now, I told them...I am going to start my summer of fun (at least for 3 weeks until school starts). This summer has gone so fast since I was so busy with VBS. I feel like I missed out on quite a bit of family time, but it was worth it and the kids had a great time. I will Direct the VBS again in about 3 years. Very rewarding job. God Bless.
