Well, the Tempe Marketplace is now almost all open, especially in the District.

While this is geared more for adults, it is still a great place to be with your young children.  We hit the Zoo on Saturday afternoon and afterwards, grabbed something to eat in the District, checked out a few shops..

Let Rivers play in the fountain and the spray pads - he had a blast and there were a number of families with children his age enjoying the the spray pad.  Afterwards, we hit up the children's book section at B&N, grabbed some ice coffee from the Coffee Bean & Tea...

Enjoyed the Ice Coffee while watching a great band play at the outdoor stage right in the middle and again to my surprise, Rivers was 1 of 10 kids enjoying the music and dancing! 

I'm sure it is not always like this, but, this is a location that you do not need to rule out for outings with younger children!  Instead, keep tabs on the happenings and when it does not appear to be focused on the adult scene - enjoy it!

we took simon to tempe market place before xmas. we mainly went to eat at dave and busters he had a blast there playing the games and running around like a maniac like normal. we walked around alittle after we were done at dave and busters but everything was getting ready to close and simon was done he had totally worn himself out so everything caused a fit. tim had mentioned going there on friday but then changed his mind he figured it would be to packed and to much of a hassle thats always what seems to happen oh well.

Never been there. Probably never will. I dont like going into Tempe.
