jesse has told brad that to conserve energy and $$$$ we are getting the TV shut off for the summer... we figure if there is no cartoon channel he wont want to watch it... That makes daddy the bad guy for a change too! I'm always the one shutting the brain sucker off

Check your local library. A lot are offering family activities to replace the TV this next week. Happy unplugging!

 

Funny thing about the TV is that I could care less about it.  I married a man who was born into a family that is addicted to television (hence the reason for the 50 inch plasma).  They even leave the TV on when no one is watching it!!!  That is so annoying to me!  Eating in the living room just so the TV can be watched at the same time...enough said.

I am sorry to the TV addicts out there that I may have just offended. 

Already  I have been REBUKED  Chastised and overall BOOED by every adullt save Sammi  and thats cause shes tooo busy to think about TV most times  or too tired  .. LOL  But Grumpy is like NO WAY !!!! PLAYOFFS this week!! Are you Nuts???!!!  sigh  this gonna take lil creative thinkin on my part  TVS been on WAY TOO MUCH here lately and drving me batty!!!

Well, we're gonna be out of town, so it will be 50% easier.

I think it's a wonderful idea.

TV's original purpose was to educate, and sadly that's just what it's doing - but giving all the wrong messages.   You should be perfect and skinny and drink lots of beer and have a new car take lavitra instead of playing with your family and going for walks and being happy with who you are.

Kill your TV!  Listen to sports on a radio while you do yardwork.  It works the brain to imagine the stuff happening. 

Only if my hubby was out of town for the full week would this work at my house.  My kids have no problem when I tell them to turn the television off pending they weren't right in the middle of watching their favorite show, but my hubby would have heart failure.  Should I think to just tell him they were all broken, he would be rushing out to replace each and every tv...all 8.

OK    This is first day !!! Wouldnt ya know its raining and sposed to for next few days  ARGGHHH   But kids playing happily  w Grumpy  in  front room w trains n tracks , then cookin fer us  on playstove  Yup I LIKE MY GUYS  IN  KITCHEN   LOL...  Weve gotten off to great start  despite  rain  kinda cozy  I love it ...

OK  We have successfully made it thru  day 6.... Rain or shine we found time to play outdoors  each day... On the pretty days wve been enjoying the Spring dicoverys  w the babies  .... Grumpy and I have watched the seeds thet planted in the egg catens and planters  push up thru ground, weve dicovered more toads  and frogs , worms for pots ... and read more ... Weve Played more sang more  and PRAYED MORE .... That for me means Most ..... Kids have gone out evenings w aunty and mumma more , and Grumpy has been overall Nicer (tho weve had our moments SNARL LOL )

     I wonder why we  dont  do this more often ... I sincerily have barely missed it  and tomorrow  we will be busy  so I think weve done it  YAY !!!!    Has anyone else   turned off this week?

WE DID IT !!!!  Yesterday was HARD  DH was MAD t wasnt done  at first lol  Everyone was balking  and teasing me ... HOWEVER  It soon passed and WE DID IT... With Reflection on Timing  ... Awesome  week... Hope went well for others who did this ...

I didn't know it was last week.  I was the TV trun off nazi anyway.  That is all I say to our 12 year old- TURN IT OFF!  Even our 6 year old says it to her, "Destany, turn the TV of, go outside" Cool, the next really sunny week, I am going to break that one out.  Looking forward to it!
