What a wonderful baby girl, I know you guys usually would like a boy, but a girl is perfect cus she'll steal your heart. Life is just starting for the both of you. Congratulations and all the best. Roxanna (RebeccaLouMoss) Actually, a little girl is just want I wanted! I had a feeling all along we'd have a girl—we didn't peek during the ultrasounds—and I was happy that my gut feeling was right. I'm smitten; can barely tear myself away from her, especially now that she's starting to open her eyes and really look at us. Roxanna, you wrote something (in a blog post, I think) that really struck a chord with me. I wish I knew where it was so I could quote it back, but I rember the gist of it. It was something like... you'd trade back all the extra time you spent maintaining an immaculate household and worrying over the small stuff for just a few extra minutes with your kids. I could almost visualize those grains of time on a pair of scales; time spent on just "stuff" versus time spent with kids, and how if you could, you'd move some of those grains back to the kids side of the balance. It really made me think about how precious time is, how fast it goes, and how final our decisions are. Funny thing is that you were probably just rattling off a few words, not thinking they'd carry any weight. Well, I'm here to tell you they did. And to say "thaniks." (I guess having a baby is making me sentimental...)
