Well, you know I have this little program to get Scarlet together with people who speak spanish to do activities. Fun stuff where the language is used.
Well, one of the respondents likes to rock climb, which is cool, cuz so do we!
We went to the Phoenix Rock Gym a few weeks ago and had fun, but didn't quite make it all the way...

Finding a good gym for your kid is hard.
I tried a bunch of them, but I'm pretty picky. I have coached kids and I'm particular about what is expected and how they are treated. Under 14, it should pretty much just be fun fun fun. If you are really good, you use the fun to teach them skills.
Man, did I hit the jackpot with this...

Gone fishin'

We went fishing yesterday.
Well, not really in the sense that I expected to catch any fish, nor would I have eaten them if we had. We went fishing in the sense that even the worst day of fishing can be fun.
Scarlet had been asking to fish all summer, and, shame on me, we never made it. The Az Game and Fish sponsored a day of fishing...

Hi-Ho Cherry-Oh!!

Nothing like some time getting your Boo-Tay whomped in a game like Hi-Ho Cherry-Oh (or whatever its called - that's just what I call it) to put real value on Monopoly.
Sure, it(and CandyLand and 78 games of Uno) can be a lot of fun, but progressng to the next level of games probably won't come too soon.

You know, as anyone who theoretically read this would know, caring for your child(ren) is a test in relativity. No matter what happens, no matter what needs to be done, somehow, it gets done.
