I do enjoy a good sale!

I try and only buy the kids clothes if they need them.  My plans are to start going through closets again this month and see what is needed.  We will probably need some winter items.

I was born in Chicago and lived in that house until I was 11 and moved to AZ.

We lived in a house in Scottsdale and then my parents had a new condo built in Scottsdale at 56th Street & Bell.  I lived there until I got married and moved out.

Hubby and I lived in 2 different apartments before we built our first home.  Since then, we have built 2 more homes, briefly living in an apartment and then with my parents home while waiting for our new homes to be built.

So all together, I have lived in 10 different places.  Smile

I was the first to get married out of my friends.  Most of my friends didn't think my hubby and I should get together.  They were also his friends and had been for years.  They thought I was to good for him,  that his temper was bad, and that our marriage wouldn't last more than a few years.  They were wrong.  Eighteen years and 4 children later, we are still together.

I don't get together with many of my friends now.  I do send the occasional card, but our life has just changed so tremedously that at times it seems like a lifetime ago.

At any rate, we do our best to adjust to the changes and move on, trying to enjoy everyday for what it is, a blessing.  Although some days it truly doesn't feel that way.

There are some really weird names out there.  It seems that I read about them most often where celebrities are concerned.  Probably because their lives are so public.

When I named my children, I went for unique and individual.  Now all these years later, 3 of my children actually have extremely common names.  I had them first! LOL!

My husband works with a guy whose 2 boys are named exactly what my two boys are named.  Small world or really really common names now.

I was given 2 first names since I was named after both of my Grandmas.   It is such a common name and so long, it never fit in the allowable boxes for the school tests. Ugh!  Besides that,  every friend I ever had, had one of my first names as their middle name.  I don't mind my name too much, but I don't like for it to be shortened.  When Hubby and I were picking out names for our kids, we tried picking names that didn't need to be shortened.

Yep, I need a sign!  Usually, the dog is barking and we are hiding. LOL!

I have a security door, so if I know who it is and I want to answer I will.

I agree with Jan.  If you want another baby, go for it.  I wouldn't do it just because you want a girl.

What happens if you have another boy? would you try again? would you be just as happy with another boy?  Some questions worth considering.

Personally, I always just wanted a healthy baby.  For my first, second and fourth pregnancies, I didn't even find out the sex of the baby.  It truly didn't matter.  (Baby #3 was supposed to be my last baby, so hubby thought it would be fun to find out ahead of time, I prefer the surprise at the end).

Best wishes, whatever you decide. Smile

I didn't even hear about the earthquake until late Tuesday evening.  We were up at family camp in Lakeside where there were no televisions or radios.

I am also glad that I live in AZ.  I'll deal with the heat.Smile

I used to think my hubby was useless as far as fixing things.  If it was broken, it was just best to throw it away and buy new.  He has managed to surprise me lately.  Who knew?!Surprised

This sounds like one of my pregnancies! LOL!  Sorry, probably not all that funny...anyway, I was sick for the first 6 months.  It was awful.  I had lost alot of weight and the doctor also put me on some medication for nausea.  Dry cereal helped quite a bit.  Wheat thins and of all things cream cheese.  I could eat it just by itself.

I also went to the health food store and bought Pregnancy Tea.  I don't remember what was in it, but it was great at taking the edge off and making me feel better.  I used it for several of my pregnancies just to get me over the all day sickness.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!  I hope you start to feel better soon.  :0)

I haven't done much traveling with my children.  When my eldest was 3 months old we flew to Chicago for a wedding.  She did great!  I passed out.  Laughing

The last time I took my children on an airplane was back in 1999.  I only had two children at the time, my eldest daughter was 7 and my son was 4 1/2.  We were headed to Chicago for a family reunion and a 3 week vacation to visit the sites and all of my family.  My kids did great!

Personally, I wouldn't medicate my kids.  With my luck, the Benadryl would make them hyper. LOL!

We all just went to family camp and one of the mom's medicated her children so that they wouldn't get car sick on the 4 hour bus ride.  Thankfully, they slept instead of throwing up.Laughing

Since death always seems to come in three's...

Anthony Hart, Carey Hart's brother, died yesterday after wrecking his motorcycle at Stafford Motor Speedway in Connecticut.

Hart, 21, crashed during a practice session for the Doug Henry New England Grand Prix, which is part of the American Motorcyclist Association's XTRM Supermoto Championship series.

Anthony was critically injured when he lost control of his motorcycle and slammed into a wall. He was airlifted to Hartford Hospital where he later died.

Carey and Pink separated earlier this year.

Very sad weekend indeed.Cry
