LOL jenni182!  Nothing like air dried undergarments.  We had to do this for a week when our dryer was broken.  We had socks and undies hanging off of everything all over the house. Those just have to go in the dryer!

I have two areas for hanging clothes to dry.  A rack in the garage and a bar in my laundry room.  The clothes do tend to get a little stiff, but they are pretty wrinkle free (I despise ironing) and our clothes seem to last longer.  It really saves on electricity.  Love it!

Somebody  just told me that electric in the Valley of the Sun is going to be going up something like another 8%.  Ouch!  If this is true, that is going to hurt.Frown

I just read this in the news and I had to laugh.  I guess being rich and famous doesn't mean raising your kids is easier.  While accepting an award, Lionel Richie had this to say about his daughter...

"Forget about surviving 40 years in the music business," Lionel Richie told the audience. "Just surviving 27 years of Nicole Richie has been a struggle-and-a-half, I want to tell you. I stand here as a survivor, I want you to know, for all the parents out there."

 So true!

It would seem that if gas cost $10 a gallon, alot more than just how we get places would be affected.  If the price of food and other things increases that would be quite a struggle for the average American.

Just this morning, I went around my house and started unplugging things that we don't use or don't need to be using.  I also unplugged the fridge/freezer in my garage.  I will miss the extra space for beverages, but it isn't worth the extra $20 or more per month that it is costing.  Besides electricity is supposed to be going up several percent which in itself is going to hurt the budget.

It will be interesting for me to see what the change in my bill will be at the end of the month.

Is there something I need to be doing different to get my blog to publish my entry?  I have done it twice now, just to have it vanish into thin air.  It is soooo frustrating.

Despite my trying to look on the positive side, my day was going fairly poorly so far. And now,  I have been reduced to tears.Cry

Thanks ladies.  That would explain why it wasn't working.  It was taking me a while to write down my thoughts and of course, I had to proof read it.

I totally appreciate the help.Smile

Well, my fellow MommyTalkers...this post was a long time in the coming but guess what?...I am an Auntie again!

My BIL and his Fiance welcomed a very healthy baby boy yesterday afternoon.  The big guy came into this world weighing a whopping 10 pounds and is 22 inches long.  WOW!Surprised

My Soon-to-Be SIL is a wonderful addition to our family!  I don't think I have ever seen my BIL so happy.

My BIL and I are the same age and I have always thought of him as the little brother. Tongue out He has grown-up alot in the past year and now he is finally a Dad!

I'm off to visit the new family today.  I can't wait!Smile

It would be great if people were more concerned about being healthy.  Having your waist measured doesn't really seem like the answer.  Let's face it, you can be as thin as a rail and be completely unhealthy.  Besides, wouldn't height be a factor?  Although a shorter male may be able to easily stay within the 33.5 inch guidelines what about the man that is over 6 feet tall? maybe they don't have that problem in Japan though. LOL!

The man in the photo looks pretty trim to me.  Poor thing.  He failed by Japan's standards!

Congrats to the new moms!  The names aren't too bad.  I have seen so much worse. LOL!

As far as the name calling incident, it is unfortunate.  It should not have been said.  I am sure that there has been a time in everyone's life that something has come out of their mouths that they wish they could take back.  It seems like lately, celebrities have forgotten how to be good role models.

Thanks for the congratulations!  He is so cute!  He had to be wrapped in 2 blankets because 1 hospital blanket wasn't big enough. Laughing

I am ready for my next workout!Tongue out

When I was little, Mom did all the cooking.  Several course meals, huge parties, and elegant Holidays.

As I was becoming a pre-teen, my Mom was in poor health.  Dad did all the cooking...that included packing our lunches.  He was the BEST lunch packer ever!  Eventually, Mom's health improved a little and as we got older my sister and I helped out with cooking meals.  If we cooked, Mom and Dad would do the dishes.  Loved that part!

My Dad still does the cooking.  Mom's new idea of cooking Dad dinner is putting an actual can of soup in a bowl...unopened!  Dad has a great sense of humor!Laughing

My hubby doesn't really cook.  If you want something deep fried in a vat of oil, he's your man.  Otherwise, he even asks for my help to cook a frozen dinner...I guess he is just to lazy to read the directions!Tongue out
