My son suffered from what all the doctors insisted was just frequent bouts of croup for several years.  Finally,  we found the problem....allergies and asthma....apparently asthma is hereditary, or so we were told.  The doctors had always asked if anyone in our family had asthma...my hubby and I always said "no".  As it turned out, my  mother in law has had asthma for 30 years!  Guess boys don't pay to much attention to their mothers!  As soon as I found out and we got him the medication he needed, he has been doing great!

My eldest daughter has been on her school's Swim Team for the last 2 years.  She has lettered twice and gone to the State Championships.  She is really a great swimmer.  She is currently on the Bowling Team, this is the school's first year with this sport.  She has several options for her next sport...softball and tennis are two of her choices.  Not sure what she will do next.  Whatever her heart desires!

My eldest son is his school's Student Council Historian.  This is his second year in Student Council.  He really enjoys it!

My younger two aren't involoved in anything as of yet.  The school doesn't offer to much for the younger ones and right now the carpooling for the older ones activities keeps me pretty busy.

When I was in school, I took 4 years of Spanish.  I spoke it pretty well and could carry on a fairly decent conversation.  I didn't use it often enough and now I can only remember just a few phrases.  Important ones none the less, so I know how much things cost, where the bathroom is, and a few other basics. They worked just fine when we used to go to visit my In-Laws in RockyPoint.

My eldest DD has taken a year of Spanish in High School.  She did pretty well, but has no desire to speak it fluently.  Maybe she will change her mind, as being bilingual has its monetary benefits in the working world.

I love the Cape Cod potato chips.  I don't buy them too often, because I end up eating the whole bag.

Almost forgot....Poore Brothers potato chips are awesome too!

I love being a wife and mother!  My 5 things are purely selfish...isn't is supposed to be all about me?!

1.  Sleeping in on the weekends.

2.  A hot cup of coffee.

3.  A clean house.

4.  Family dinners (there is always tons of laughing!)

5.  Finding a really great bargain!
