At the head of the table was a large pile of apples. The nun made a note, and posted on the apple tray: "Take only ONE. God is watching." Moving further along the lunch line, at the other end of the table was a large pile of chocolate chip cookies. A child had written a note, "Take all you want. God is watching the apples. I don't really like to cook it either, but this past week I tried out a new recipe, Potato Crusted Tilapia. Hubby loved it, I was surprised that it didn't taste fishy, and the kiddos wanted ketchup. They are into their dad's fried fish, so I let them have the ketchup. At least they ate my dinner. I will probably make fish again...my hubby even took lunch 2 days in a row with the leftover fillets. He obviously LOVED it! Totally worth it to try something new every now and then. Less is BEST!
RMOMROX Joined: 11/08/06 Posts: 1285	Title: Hosting Thanksgiving Posted: 1 years ago My hubby' family is still not speaking after one of the last holiday meals together. Oh well, life is too short to stay mad at each other, so I just let it go. We typically have the Holiday meals at our home...we have the most kids, the largest house, and my family always comes...it just works out better having it here. Everyone brings a dish. I stress about cleaning and then as soon as we blink the holiday is over. Go figure! This year...no turkey...we are having a Fiesta! Mexican food, baby! Very interesting.... Less is BEST!

Our meals are based on what was on sale at the grocery store that week and what our plans are for each night. If the kids have school events, dinner has to be packed and taken with us, so soup is out. LOL! If hubby is working and it is just me and the kids...lately...cereal has been the dinner of champions. When hubby is home, we have family dinner. We all look forward to those days. Less is BEST!
