I'd love to see some pics too.Smile  Our family took the tour of the stadium.  We didn't get to go to all the levels, and the couple of areas we were allowed in were just ok.  The most impressive part of the stadium for us was the field.Smile Very COOL!

I have heard of this Doctor before.  He is on the website www.mysweetconnection.com ... .  There is advertising for SottoPelle on there as well.  You can find him answering questions under Ask the Experts on their website as well.  Thank you for the interesting information.Smile

When my eldest was turning one (she is 14 now), we just bought her a white cake with white frosting from our local grocery store.  It contained a fair amount of sugar I am sure, however, she played more with it than what she actually ate.  After that experience and mess, (baby and highchair in the shower) I came up with a much better plan.  Each one of my other children received a cupcake on their 1st birthdays (white cake with white frosting), small enough to limit the mess, and not too much sugar even if they ate the whole thing.Smile

Good Luck!

When I was growing up, we had a rule about meals...you always ate what was served and NEVER complained.  It was just expected.  I am from a very Italian family, and pasta is very much a part of that.  My parents used to make Linguini and Clam sauce every week.  Without fail, we would all sit down, enjoy our meal, and then my sister and I were responsible for cleaning up. I was in College and home for dinner.  We were, of course, having Linguini and Clam sauce...the most dreaded meal for me EVER! Frown I was sitting at the table and tears were streaming down my face.   My parents asked what was the matter, and I just told them I absolutely DID NOT like clams.  They both started laughing and asked why I had never said anything before.  I was shocked!Surprised

Had I known that telling them was an option, I would have done that like 10 years before!  We still have the biggest laugh about it now!Laughing

From then on, I was only served Linguini with Butter. YUM!  That I absolutely love!

To this day, I expect my children to try absolutely everything.  They still have to eat what is served for dinner, even if it isn't their favorite, but I really try and make things that everyone enjoys.

Come on, that story is a classic in my household. Extra underwear to thwart the spanking effect. Someone had to enjoy that. So, it's someone else's turn.

Everyone that responds today (Tuesday) with their funniest childhood story gets a free MommyTalk.com picture frame and an entry into January's contest. Almost $400 again up for grabs, so don't miss out. We want funny childhood stories!

My sister and I didn't get spanked often, but I wish I had thought of the extra underwear trick!  The two of us would count how many spankings we were receiving, and then compare our rumps to see whom got the most marks!  Those were the days!Laughing

When my husband and I were just dating, he had just gotten out of the Air Force and was getting ready to pursue his new career.  He had some time off in between, and he would come to my work everyday and take me out to lunch, always bringing me a single rose.  When I would get off work, there would be a beautiful note on my car everytime.  I still have ALL of them.  It was so sweet for such a tough guy!Smile

Fantastic article and oh so TRUE!  It is getting harder and harder to find clothes that don't have sayings all over them.  Just go out and try and find a plain white t-shirt...Good Luck!  My eldest daughter is in High School now and I also see way too many girls in clothes that are way to small.  Are our children getting bigger, or are their clothes getting smaller? I hope that the fashion trends change quickly!Smile

This article is so true.  It is hard to fine one-on-one time with each child, and before you know it the years have passed by and the children are grown.  I try to spend individual time with each one of my children as often as I can.  My eldest daughter gets to stay up later than the other children, so we often get time to talk then.  She also enjoys exercising with me, so if I am going for a walk, she comes along and brings her dog.  Just the two of us talking for an hour!  I love it!  My youngest daughter is the only child at home, so she gets more of my time.  It just works out that way now.  The boys are in the middle, and since they are in school all day, I have to make special effort to give them their extra time.  Taking one of them with me on a special errand, or just sitting on the couch talking about what happened to them that day, even walking with my son to our mailbox to pick up our mail is something that he loves to do, so we do it together.  If my younger son had his way, he would have me sit next to him while he plays his Playstation.  I do this occasionally, but I would rather spend my time listening to how his day was.  They all are growing up so fast, and I must admit that most of their younger years are a blurr.  I was young and was working full-time and taking care of small children, then when my eldest son became ill, the years seemed to fly by with everything being so hectic.  I am glad things have slowed down, and I am enjoying every minute of their growing up.

Thanks again for the article.  Especially now, while we are in the hustle and bustle of the Holiday Season, I needed the reminder of what truly is important!Smile

Years ago, my husband and I went to a wedding in New Mexico.  It was for our dear friends, and we were so excited for them!Smile  My husband was part of the wedding party, so he was included in every event that went on while we were in New Mexico.  Our daughter was only 1 1/2 at the time (she is 14 1/2 now), and the 13 hour car ride was a little difficult.  I wasn't included in most of the events, other than just being there for the ceremony and taking care of our daughter.  My husband also sat at the head table, and my daughter and I were left to sit by ourselves. I did feel quite excluded, and since we were the only friends of theirs that had any children at the time, I did understand.  This situation hasn't ever come up again, and should it, I would have to seriously consider if we would even attend.  It would be hard to take all of our children now that there are four, and the expense would be considerably more now that there are so many of us.

Mary Poppins!Smile  This is my all time favorite!  There are many others that I have enjoyed over the years...The Princess Bride is one of those.  I own that as well as The Little Princess which I absolutely LOVE as well. I also enjoyed The Lake House and could watch it over and over again.  I went with two girlfriends who thought it was terrible.  I wonder if they were actually watching?Undecided

Movies are something that I enjoy watching either at home or in the theater.  My children also love going to the movies, but I think that it might just be the excitement of the theater experience, and all the treats that I bring long. LOLLaughing
