I always look forward to Mondays, they seem to take forever to get here.  That is the only day during the week that my hubby doesn't have to work, so I enjoy sending the kiddos to school, knowing that hubby and I will have time to talk, eat lunch together, or maybe go to the movies without a million interruptions.

Absolute heaven. :0)

Great piece.Smile

When my first baby was born, my mom watched her while I worked full time.  When my second baby was born, my mom was getting ready to go back to work full time and we looked into daycare...it actually cost more per hour for 2 children that what I was making per hour.  That was when it was decided that I would stay home.  My hubby got a second job.

I have stayed home for the last 13 years and have done some babysitting to earn a few extra dollars.  Hopefully (pending I pass the food handlers test), I will be employed as of Wednesday.  I plan on only working part time and only when my children are in school.  They come first...always.  My new boss, being a mother herself, completely understands.  It is a win win for both of us.  I am really excited.Smile

All these years later...my hubby still has two jobs.  I am so proud of everything that he has done for us...even during the really tough times, he has supported us and we have made ends meet. I am hoping that my contribution will help, so that he can cut back hours on his second job.  That would be great!  :0)

I think every person is different.  I personally, did not struggle to get pregnant. For my first 2 pregnancies, we weren't actively trying, but hubby and I weren't doing anything to stop a pregnancy from occuring either.

The first two children are 2 1/2 years apart. We were actually done having babies after our son was born.  Happy with 2 children a girl and a boy.  Then we were actively trying NOT to conceive, but fortunately birth control did not work. LOL!  There is a 5 1/2 years age difference between baby 2 and baby 3, and then a 2 plus year difference before baby 4.

 Their ages are:

Eldest Daughter: 15 1/2

Eldest Son: 13

Youngest Son: 7 1/2

Youngest Daughter: 5

Open communication, plenty of education, and make sure there is a clear understanding of the potential ramifications....

Of course, I will keep her busy and put the FEAR OF GOD into any little punk within a country mile of my princess, but I can't be there all the time.  Ideally, if I do my job right now, she'll hang around with a good guy or two.  Still, there are a lot of crafy boys out there seeking to drop the angel's panties, and we can't discount that she might be sexual by nature, so if BC/protection is necessary after all is said and done, damn straight I'll make it available rather than hide the facts like it isn't natural...

Yep...well said.  I totally agree.Smile

Letting go is always hard to do, but our memories of times together are always so sweet.

Best Wishes to your friends as they start on a new journey in life.

With 4 children, we always end up with tons of candy.  Hubby will bring some to work, some will get eaten, and some will probably end up being thrown away.  Mainly because the kids try a new kind of candy and then don't like it.  They aren't huge candy eaters, but do enjoy chocolate.  Just like mom! :0)

We are just buying for our kids this year.  Or so that was what the family decided, they better stick to it. LOL!  Anyway, their one big gift is already purchased, so I need one small gift for each child. I have nephews, the are all getting money.  Piece of cake.Smile

I would have to agree, it is near impossible to not buy things made in China.  I have been checking everything that I buy and I have saved myself tons of money.  If it says 'Made in China', most of the time I put it back, depending on what it is and what it's purpose is.   Better safe than sorry right now.

I am lucky that my children are getting older.  They don't require tons of toys to keep them entertained, they don't put things in their mouths, and they are still young enough that  they wear what I buy.  Well, except for the teenager, but that is a girl for you. LOL!  She has taken several of my shirts, a couple pairs of shoes, and a few of my flip flops, so I must not have bad taste in clothing. Laughing

It was hard to come up with Christmas present ideas this year.  We are only purchasing one family gift and one small gift for each child.  I still believe 'Less is Best' and so much more appreciated.

It is finally getting cool enough for us to go outside to play.  Funny thing for us, this is the nice time of year when we can enjoy outdoor activites.  Summer is when we are stuck in the house.

As of last night, we still have our air conditioning on.  It is hot here!

My kids do enjoy crafts, painting, puzzles, movies, and reading.  We all enjoy just hanging out together playing games.  We do that often during the summer months.
