Steph--thanks for posting. I am so sorry to hear that happened to you. It isn't surprising really that this is where child predators go now. Why do they make it so easy for them? It's terrible. It is my biggest fear as a mom and as a woman. I completely agree with Rhonda. Thanks so much Steph. This is information that we all need to know about and appreciate your courage and strength to post your experience. Less is BEST!

RMOMROXJoined: 11/08/06 Posts: 1285 | Posted: 1 years ago I have babysat off and on over the years. Typically it was just a few days per week, and ended up being anywhere from $20-$25 dollars per day. My longest days were from 8am-4pm. Now that all my kids are in school, I am not doing any babysitting, unless it is for a friend, for a few hours here or there. Best wishes! Less is BEST!

RMOMROXJoined: 11/08/06 Posts: 1285 | Posted: 1 years ago I have a very open relationship with my eldest daughter about such matters as drug use. Since I was not really exposed to this during my HS years (parents sheltered me...big time!) I want to make sure that my daughter is aware of the dangers. My hubby on the other hand had his hand into many things...taking this into consideration I will be keeping a close eye on my daughter. Hopefully she takes more after me and less after her dad. I was a great rule follower...he broke every rule he could. Ugh! If she takes after her dad, I am in big trouble! Less is BEST!
RMOMROXJoined: 11/08/06 Posts: 1285 | Posted: 1 years ago We don't go out to eat often as a family (it kinda breaks the budget LOL), but the last time we did, we went to Red Robin. The atmoshpere there is fun and the kiddos really enjoy it. The food and service have always been great. Less is BEST!

RMOMROXJoined: 11/08/06 Posts: 1285 | Posted: 1 years ago I am not sure if this is correct or not, but I was told that the lead testing kits are only good to use on 2 items at a time. In other words, you will have to buy several of these kits if you want to test more than just 2 toys. At almost 5 dollars a piece per kit, 4 kids, and a toy closet with waaaayyy more than 2 toys I am thinking it would be better to get rid of the toys and only keep the ones that they really LOVE. Almost forgot, they are kids...they LOVE everything! LOL! I might have to start down sizing while they are at school...

For me, I am constantly changing and growing to adapt to my surroundings. When I was single, I was working hard and I was going to school to try and better myself. Then I met hubby and my wants and needs changed. I got married, changed careers,& then I got pregnant. Again, I adapted and grew as a person, wife & mother. As my children grow, so do their needs and my responsibilities as a parent. I don't know that I will ever "come into my own" so to speak. I feel like I am evolving with each new day as I grow, my family grows, and as I make a life with my spouse. I look forward to each new day as a new challenge and a way to better myself. Life is like a rollercoaster...when I reach the end...my ride will be over.

RMOMROXJoined: 11/08/06 Posts: 1285 | Posted: 1 years ago I would call your doctor. My youngest daughter was diagnosed by her pediatrician for possible reflux. He gave her some medication to help her and then she was sent in for testing. When it was determined that her problem was reflux, there were several suggestions that I was given to help her with the constant throwing up. I hope your little one gets better soon. Best Wishes.
