Just a suggestion....what about rewarding him for doing his work instead of punishing him for not doing it?

Sometimes positive encouragement can really help build up self confidence.

Just my thought...if the only purpose of having the test is to find out whether or not your baby has Down Syndrome, I would skip the test.  I would guess that there are alot of risks and since you love your baby just as he or she is right now, I don't think taking a chance with all the risks involved would benefit you or your baby.

Best wishes with whatever decision you make.Smile

We will always keep our land line.  Our cell phone reception, although better now with the new Verizon Tower, isn't something that I would feel comfortable relying on 24/7.  Besides having a chatty daughter myself, I have many friends that I talk to often that don't have my service provider.  We would certainly be over in minutes every month.

Very informative website.  Thank you for posting.  I would have to agree that kids react better to a positive enviroment, even if it is while being disciplined.Smile

Well like all holidays we are deep pitting, yummy I can't wait.

sorry...dumb question about to be asked...what is deep pitting?

Since you stated that it was going to be "yummy", I am guessing that it involves some type of food.

Holidays just aren't Holidays without good food!Laughing

Wish this was easier for me....

1.  Hubby is really the best at his job.  He always gives 110%! (I am really proud of him for this...he works hard to take care of all of us Smile)

I can't actually come up with another four, unless you count...

2.  Best at playing on the computer.

3.  Best at watching televion and hogging controller.

4.  Best at taking naps.

5.  Best at cleaning his car. ( only if there is a car show)

Sad actually...maybe I have overlooked something...LOL!Laughing

Last year he failed three of his classes and got C's for the rest. I have taken away his electronic privilage again this year. He can watch TV on the weekends and on the days they have no school. Other then that no TV, PS2, Radio or computer.

Im so tired of him not doing his schoolwork.

I am wondering if the punishment isn't working (taking away his electronic privledges) because he is only actually punished from them on school days.  If he is allowed to play, use, & enjoy all of his stuff on the weekends and when he is off of school, what is the incentive to actually doing the work.  If he was punished from his things all day-everyday until he brought his grades up and turned in his work, maybe that would benefit his education just a little bit better and encourage him to complete his tasks.

Just a thought....

My experience might be different than most, because I didn't spend years on birth control, which I have been told can make it harder to get pregnant.  I am not sure how true that is, as I only started taking the pill about one month prior to getting married.  I had a hard time remebering to take it correctly, and ended up pregnant about 6 months after I got married while still taking the pill.  The doctor gave me a higher dose after baby #1, but it made me very sick so we tried alternate and natural methods of birth control.

Based on the number of children I have, those other methods clearly didn't work well either!Laughing  I have many blessings!Smile

Best wishes to you and your DH!  Have fun trying to get pregnant.  I must say... that is the fun part! :0)

Math has never been my strongest subject, but since when does 1 x 81= 9? LOL!Laughing  After reading this post over and over and thinking that I just hadn't had enough diet coke, I have decided it must be 1 x 8 plus 1= 9.  This makes sense...

We had a pretty low key weekend.  I got quite a few chores done and rearranged furniture in several rooms in our home.  I love getting projects done like that.  Always makes you feel good when completed.  Hubby and I also watched a movie together which was nice.

Kiddos are back to school today for week three!  Can't hardly believe it!

Hope everyone enjoys their day!  :0)

When I was a kid...Little House on the Prairie was my favorite show.  Not very realistic for todays age, but it was fun to watch back then just like The Brady Bunch.

Now, hubby and I watch Gene Simmons Family Jewels.  I was never a fan of his music, but I just love this show.Smile

Yesterday we watched several episodes of Little People Big World.  I found it interesting to see how others with 4 children, one with special needs, live their lives.
