Mesa district has thier 9th grade in Jr high. Always has. I think he will do just fine. I dont have any worries about it. I thought Mesa did 9th grade different...your son must be really excited then! BTW...If as parents, we didn't worry about our kids, there would probably be something wrong with us. LOL! RMOMROXJoined: 11/08/06 Posts: 1285 | Posted: 1 years ago When my eldest daughter was born, she NEVER slept at night....UGH! At about 3 months, my doctor suggested that we start a nighttime rountine. At the same time every night, I would give her a bath followed by a bottle (I wasn't nursing then) and then put her down in her crib (awake). She initially cried, but we kept consistent, never turned on the lights and never picked her up...just conforted her when she cried. We tried the binki, but she kept spitting it out...we helped her find her thumb....not the best idea, but it worked and she started sleeping through the night...the braces, cost me TONS of money! I don't recommend thumb sucking. LOL! Anyway, the routine each night was a life saver, and we continued that with all of our other children. It worked wonders. We also leave a fan on in the hall bathroom. More for the white noise than anything else, but it helps to not wake up the entire house when somebody is up. Best wishes. Less is BEST!

RMOMROXJoined: 11/08/06 Posts: 1285 | Posted: 1 years ago Great recipes! I have had the salsa before, my neighbor makes it and it is so tasty. The only kind of calamari I have ever had is at a restaurant and off of my hubby's plate. He LOVES fish....me, not so much. It was fried, and honestly, anything fried pretty much tastes like the batter. I don't think I am brave enough to eat it without all the batter either. :0)

RMOMROXJoined: 11/08/06 Posts: 1285 | Posted: 1 years ago I would bring a few toys, sippy cup, snacks and maybe even coloring book and crayons. Since your little one will be forced to sit on your lap, you can keep a good eye on her while she is coloring. My oldest children are the only ones we have ever taken on a plane, and I went to the dollar store and purchased a few surprises for each child (they were 3 & 5 1/2 at the time). Every 30 minutes or so they got to pick out of the prize bag. We were on a 3 1/2 hour flight, so it entertained them. Best Wishes! Less is BEST!
RMOMROXJoined: 11/08/06 Posts: 1285 | Posted: 1 years ago I forgot to add that when my eldest daughter was 18 months old we DROVE to New Mexico for a wedding. It was a 9 HOUR drive and although she didn't do terrible, I thought that we would NEVER get there. I'd pick a 2 hour flight over that anyday. Less is BEST!

RMOMROXJoined: 11/08/06 Posts: 1285 | Posted: 1 years ago I think that I am pretty lucky, because my kids eat whatever I fix. They are not always really happy about it, but I only make one meal unless we are having Musgo...you know, everything in the fridge that Must Go...LOL! That was Grams' secret. Anyway, they all have their favorite foods, and I try to make sure the meals are balanced. The kiddos really love fruit so I try and add that to every meal. My youngest daughter is a healthy eater, although she does enjoy chocolate every now and again, but she will pick eating cauliflower and ranch over cookies anyday and baked beans with edamame instead of mac and cheese. She prefers yogurt and soy crisps and not peanut butter sandwiches. She does have to eat what I fix, kind of funny to have to FORCE her to eat peanut butter....
