RMOMROXJoined: 11/08/06 Posts: 1285 | Posted: 1 years ago I tend to be a "Do the right thing" kind of person, all the time. It drives hubby up the wall. He thinks some rules are meant to be broken. Maybe...I just don't feel that way. Every situation in life is viewed differently by different people. That is what makes us all individuals. As long as I feel good about the decisions I make, that is what is most important. Less is BEST!

RMOMROXJoined: 11/08/06 Posts: 1285 | Posted: 1 years ago I'm so sad for you. Us gals love our birthdays even when we start getting older. For the last few years, my kiddos seem to get early release from school on my birthday. What's up with that?! It is going to be the same this year too. It has started becoming just another day for me. My hubby doesn't really do to much either. He will have to work. Enjoy your day however you want to enjoy it. It should be all about what makes you happy! If your hubby won't be there, celebrate with him another day. Then you'll end up with more than one birthday celebration! BTW...September is a great month for a birthday! Mine is the 13th! LOL! Less is BEST!

My kids wearing their goggles in the pool. (Their faces are so funny, I could start laughing about it now!) 5. Checking on sleeping babies. Why this brings me joy?... I have no idea, but they are so peaceful and not arguing! (Maybe that is the reason. LOL!) Less is BEST!
RMOMROXJoined: 11/08/06 Posts: 1285 | Posted: 1 years ago I remember Underdog from when I was a little girl. It was always a fun cartoon to watch. I really want to take my children to see this one. My eldest daughter wasn't sure that she wanted to see it. I told her that I watched it when I was a kid and she asked me if that was in the "Dark Ages" and of course I told her "Yes, even before we had color TV". Kids!Less is BEST!

RMOMROXJoined: 11/08/06 Posts: 1285 | Posted: 1 years ago Great advice Jan! I think...10 weeks without a response is just plain RUDE! You absolutely need to vent. How you managed to wait this long is beyond me, I think I would have been venting after say...week 3. LOL! I am not sure what proper etiquette is on stuff like this, but I would bet that she should have accepted or declined your invitation in a much more timely manner. I often wonder why family thinks that they can be rude and inconsiderate. Maybe because they are family. I wouldn't worry about it too much. You have waited a generous amount of time. If your weekends are full or you are too busy...just tell her that. If she is concerned about other family members feelings, she should have been worried about yours as well. It just doesn't make any sense. Best wishes.

RMOMROXJoined: 11/08/06 Posts: 1285 | Posted: 1 years ago When I was a kid we played family games all the time. My all time favorite was Life. We had a card table downstairs set up with the game for weeks and every night after dinner we would play. It was so much fun! I still have that Life game and I have played it with my children a few times. We don't have a basement or a place to set it up for long term play, but we still enjoy playing, and the kids get such a kick out of the "getting married and having kids" part. My youngest daughter says she doesn't like all the "prissing" stuff! She has a little bit of a lisp, so that is what comes out instead of "kissing"! Fun times! Less is BEST!

RMOMROXJoined: 11/08/06 Posts: 1285 | Posted: 1 years ago Isn't 9th grade High School? My daughter was a Freshman last year. She is a Sophmore this year and now in the 10th grade. Does the Mesa school district do their grades different? Come to think of it....I think that they did.... Congrats on putting your children's best interest at heart and for being so supportive. That is so important! I am sure that he will do great and having the support from his family can only encourage him to exceed. :0) Less is BEST!
