I really did not see a need to send them before that as I also was a SAHM and wanted to enjoy as much time at home with them as possible. I have some friends who have sent their 3 year old to school, but it is more so they can have a break. It certainly is not a necessity, not in my opinion anyways. Just my 2 cents... Less is BEST!
RMOMROXJoined: 11/08/06 Posts: 1285 | Posted: 1 years ago That depends on what you mean by "safe". Are you talking about an infant sleeping in your bed, or a toddler? I know that everyone's opinion is going to differ on this one, but I think that good habits are established when a child has their own sleeping space. We did, when our first two children were born, start with them in their own beds. Then they started coming in ours and it was quite a habit to break. We did break it, and didn't let either of the last two children even get a small taste of sleeping with Mom and Dad. I believe that we all get a better night's sleep. I nursed the last two babies, and although I know many women who have co-slept with their infant while breastfeeding, I was afraid that I or my hubby would suffocate our baby and that terrified me. They were safer in a bassinet or their crib with monitors so that I could hear every breath. :0) Less is BEST!

RMOMROXJoined: 11/08/06 Posts: 1285 | Posted: 1 years ago Not sure what advice to give about the stripping. Probably not really funny to you, but kids are sometime so cute and do such silly things. I like Kelly's idea about the book. I find parent books can be extremely helpful in giving me new ideas. I am not trying to scare you here, but have you ever had Garrett's hearing tested? My friend had a similar problem with her daughter for years. She just did not listen unless you were screaming at her. And as it turned out, she had some hearing loss. She had surgery when she was 5 years old, and she hears beautifully now. This might not be your son's problem, and kids will be kids just testing their limits with good old Mom and Dad, but I thought I would share the information with you. Best Wishes. Less is BEST!

I am really dreaming) I enjoy sight seeing and watching my children play. A stress-free and relaxing atmoshpere would be great. Also, I want it to be free of TV's, computers, & electronics (I would miss MommyTalk!). This way, I wouldn't have to fight my family to get their attention over all of their toys. I would guess this vacation is never going to occur, and when written down it seems absolutely silly. LOL! But you asked for my perfect vacation, and there it is. Less is BEST!

RMOMROXJoined: 11/08/06 Posts: 1285 | Posted: 1 years ago I did notice that the price of milk has consistently gone up. When I was able to go to Costco, it was cheaper to buy the two gallons for their discounted price than buying one gallon at the grocery store. Out of the 6 of us, one is allergic to all milk products, 2 are lactose intolerant, and I just prefer not to drink milk at all. I do buy soymilk for me and my eldest son, but just for cereal. My two youngest drink milk, primarily with meals, so the increase in the price of milk hasn't hurt the grocery budget too much.
