Congratulations on being on the road to recovery!Smile

Just remember...be careful not to overdue it.  I am sure that since you are starting to feel better, and are probably tired of being able to due very little, that you are happy for a change.  Be safe while lifting and don't forget to keep yourself hydrated.  You will be back to work before you know it and stronger than ever!Smile

Remember to drink extra water.  You already need to drink enough fluids to keep producing milk, but if you are going to exercise, you will need to drink more.

Congratulations on already feeling up to exercising!Smile  I think I would still be using excuses!

You go girl!Wink

Nothing like a good old shower!  Sponge baths stink...literally! LOL!

Glad you are taking it easy.  You have come so far and making good progress.  Keep up with the positive attitude...you really will be better before you know it, back to work, and being sick will just be a memory.  It will be the most wonderful feeling, I promise.Smile

Great Feature Rebecca!Smile

My eldest daughter is in High School.  This year she will be a Sophmore.  Her High School experience is different from mine in that she attended the first year at a new school.  There were only Freshman at the school last year, and this year as she becomes a Sophmore, there will only be Freshman and Sophmores in attendance.

I am happy for her for many reasons.  High School can be extremely difficult, and not just with classes, but peer pressure, trying to fit in, and so on.  She is growing into a beautiful young lady and she is very confident...something I was not.  I am very proud of her and I am so happy that her High School years are being filled with fond memories.  She is a great student and becoming a wonderful athlete...something that I know she would not have participated in had there been "try outs" for her favorite sport...swimming.

Thanks for the great article...I enjoyed your 15 cents!Smile

We don't really have any secrets to dealing with a sick child either.  For the most part my children seem pretty healthy.  During the school year, they pick up the occasional bug, and between Tylenol, Motrin, & fluids we get them better fairly quickly.

Youngest son has asthma and allergies, so as long as we keep consistent with his everyday meds he does fine.  We used to deal with Strep throat often, and now my youngest daughter had her tonsils out  about a year ago as the doctor thought she was the carrier.  Funny thing...everybody still got strep, just not her. Ugh!

The flu stinks, and I am thankful that we don't get that to often.  Our biggest dealings with illness was when our son was having chemo, and with his immune system so low we had to be careful about other people's germs and the other kids getting sick and making him sick.  I used ALOT of lysol EVERYWHERE!  Thankfully, we are well past that time in our lives, and I certainly can deal with the occasional bugs that come our way.Smile

It may be time for a second opinion.  If you are in pain, then it clearly is not in your head.  Don't let your Doctor make you feel bad.  A second opinion wouldn't hurt, and if you get the same result, then maybe medication for a short time to help your back recover wouldn't be such a bad idea.

Just a thought...

My hubby has been watching these shows.  I didn't think that I would like them, so I haven't tuned in.  I might have to make a point to watch the Singing Bee, seems like it would be fun for everyone!Smile

I find it often frustrating when my doctor tells me to "rest".  Mother of four here!  Rest is not in my vocabulary!Laughing

I agree with Val...an MRI doesn't hurt, it would most likely be covered by your insurance, and you have already waited so long for your appointment just to see the Doctor.  You could take the meds he recommended while trying to "rest" and waiting for your MRI to be scheduled.

Best wishes.Smile

Our world is a frightening place.  More now than ever we have to keep our children safe.  Even when they grow up into adults.

Very sad.Cry

Congratulations!

I just wanted to add my 2 cents here...

Don't be afraid of wasting the money.  It is after all, just money.  You need to do something that makes you happy.  It seems this may be something that you will absolutely enjoy and family support and encourangement will help keep you focused.  Just remember, this is your life and you need to take care of your wants and needs to be productive in taking care of your family.

What is that saying?  If Mom is happy, then everyone gets to be happy... or something like that! LOL!Laughing

Best Wishes!Smile
