RMOMROXJoined: 11/08/06 Posts: 1285 | Posted: 1 years ago I have heard the marble jar idea several times. My youngest son's teacher did something like this with her class. As a class, they worked together to earn the marbles and then there was a reward when the jar was filled. If they misbehaved, marbles would be removed. The class had to work together to fill the jar. I wonder if I tried the marble technique at my home for say...doing chores without having to be reminded, not arguing with siblings, and using listening ears at all times. Each child would have the potential to earn several marbles per day to help fill the jar and then they would all be working together for a special outing or treat that they can all share. Great idea. I love it! Less is BEST!

I think that secretly I really wanted a girl first because I was one of two girls. When my first baby was born I was so excited that we had a girl , and so was my hubby. When I got pregnant the second time, hubby was really hoping for a boy. He was telling everyone if the baby wasn't a boy, we would be trying for another baby. WHAT?! I hadn't even had #2 and he already had me on my way to pregnancy #3. Needless to say, as any woman, I was bound to change my mind and want more children. Hubby said "No Way!". God had other plans...

RMOMROXJoined: 11/08/06 Posts: 1285 | Posted: 1 years ago Looking forward to their review. My daughter said that the movie was "awesome"! She wants to go back and see it again! Mind you, she is only 15 years old, and she LOVES alot of movies that I think are the "worst" movies ever made. Let's see what Grumpy and KK thought of this film.... Less is BEST!
RMOMROXJoined: 11/08/06 Posts: 1285 | Posted: 1 years ago Wishing you well. I don't have a disability, but my eldest son does. It has changed how we parent a great deal. I saw that you started a Group and that was a great idea! Hopefully some of the other members here will be able to lend some support and advice. Happy Fourth of July! Less is BEST!

RMOMROXJoined: 11/08/06 Posts: 1285 | Posted: 1 years ago I'll start by saying we have a tradition over here. Every year, we wear matching shirts from Old Navy for the Fourth of July. This all started in 2000 when I was pregnant with baby #3. I wasn't due until July 23rd, but I decided it didn't matter, I was going to get a shirt for my baby and we could take photos after the birth, as a family, wearing our shirts. Corny, I know, but darn those kids look so cute wearing matching outfits! I wasn't able to go to see the Fireworks, because it was too hot out for a newborn, but after we had a BBQ with our neighbors, my hubby took all the children with all of our neighbors and friends and I heard the stories when they got home. Everyone took tons of pictures, and I have some beautiful pages in my scrapbook from that Fourth of July! Great question! It brought back such wonderfully happy memories of such a difficult time in our family's life. I am going to go and get out that scrapbook! Thank you! Less is BEST!
