RMOMROXJoined: 11/08/06 Posts: 1285 | Posted: 1 years ago My goodness! What is NEXT?! Our children's education should be a priority! We need to get back to basics and focus on learning, respect, and molding our young children into productive members of society. Let's plan for our future.

RMOMROXJoined: 11/08/06 Posts: 1285 | Posted: 1 years ago When we first moved to AZ from IL, we used to walk to Paradise Valley Mall and watch the Fireworks Show from the parking lot. We always walked so that we didn't have to fight the traffic getting home. We would stop and get ice cream for the walk home and it was so much fun! We live out in Peoria now, and we did go to the Peoria Sports Complex one year to watch the show, but now that we are able to see it from our driveway, it is so much nicer to enjoy the show close to home. RMOMROXJoined: 11/08/06 Posts: 1285 | Posted: 1 years ago Well, my hubby isn't the most romantic man, but over the years he has done some very sweet things. While dating... 1. He would come to my work, bring me a rose and then take me to lunch. He was so sweet. 2. After lunch, when I had to get back to work, he would write me a love note and place it on my car. I have saved everyone of those notes and put them in my scrapbook. After marriage... 3. He texts me everyday, maybe even several times, telling me that he loves me! This I adore! 4. He planned a romantic getaway, including childcare for our children and school carpool, for our 16th Anniversary. It has to have been the sweetest most endearing thing that he has done for me in years. 5. And last but not least, watching my hubby meet his children for the first time after their births and seeing the love in his eyes was absolutely priceless! Less is BEST!
RMOMROXJoined: 11/08/06 Posts: 1285 | Posted: 1 years ago When I was younger my sister and I went to Bible Camp every summer. We had such a blast! I think my parents enjoyed the two of us being gone too (we argued like cats and dogs!). I haven't ever sent my children to camp. They have gone a couple times to Vacation Bible School and really enjoyed themselves. Maybe someday... Less is BEST!
RMOMROXJoined: 11/08/06 Posts: 1285 | Posted: 1 years ago Very interesting week in Hollywood as usual! I certainly hope we don't see Paris for awhile. Not quite sure what John Stamos was doing...jet lag?...didn't really seem like it, but who am I to judge...heck I am afraid to fly. My favorite was the photo of Naomi Watts! She looked absolutely radiant! I, of course ,am totally looking forard to next week's Hollywood Gossip Recap. Thanks Gossip Girl! Keep them coming! Less is BEST!

RMOMROXJoined: 11/08/06 Posts: 1285 | Posted: 1 years ago This is an extremely important subject, and I agree with SJ, one that we don't usually want to even think about. It has however, got me thinking...What would I do? I don't have anyone capable of taking care of my children for an extended period of time. I am certainly not looking for perfection, but there truly isn't anyone who would be able to take all 4 of them long term. Especially with my eldest son's health issues. I think it is about time for hubby and I to sit down and have a chat...

RMOMROXJoined: 11/08/06 Posts: 1285 | Posted: 1 years ago Great link! "Drugs DESTROY dreams"! This is my daughter's favorite saying. Everytime I talk to her about drugs and how they can ruin your life, she reminds me of her dreams and aspirations. She has wanted to be a Veterinarian since she was 2 years old. As parents, we can't do enough to warn our children about the dangers of drugs. These videos are a wonderful tool to help us show our children the devistation that occurs when trying drugs even once!
