I believe in the Death Penalty...

A police officer that I know has a shirt that sums it up for me...

" Some people are alive simply because it's against the law to kill them"

This is just one of those things that is going to take time for him to understand.  He is at a difficult stage where I am sure he is wanting to be more independent, curious to try new things, and certainly at the stage where comprehension of rules is something that he is just learning.

We tried only rolling balls in the house.  That didn't always work, so now balls are primarily for outside.  When the kids took to throwing other objects in the house, after the gentle reminder that "we don't throw things" was given, the poor toy was given a "time out" on top of the fridge.  If the child threw it again after the initial "time out" was given, it was temporarily just taken away without any fanfare and brought back out to join the other toys at a later time.

Best wishes!Smile

Just wanted to send well wishes your way! Smile

Everyone has lots of great advice and ideas on how to keep Addie busy.  I hope they work to your advantage.  Four weeks is a long time, but hopefully not to long.  She will probably be up and running in no time.  On the other hand, I don't know your hubby personally, but if it were mine, he would be making us all miserable.Wink

Kids are so resilient!Smile

Well, my daughter is a little older now from when this question was first posted and my answer would still be the same.  I most certainly would not let her have one and she is a really great kid!Smile

My neighbor's did get one for themselves and their daughter (their daughter is 30) so that they could see  their 1st grandbaby and talk to her every Sunday.  I think for those circumstances a webcam is perfect!  They love seeing her every week(she is just over 2 now), and in just about another week they are going to be Grandparents a second time as their Daughter and SIL welcome another baby girl.  Now they will get to see both of those babies every week!Smile

I found more information on that site than in many of the other news stories that have been out there so far.

I was wondering if it was true that his son was mentally handicapped.  I had read that somewhere, and the article stated that Benoit and his wife were disagreeing over the care of their son shortly before the murder/suicide.  It stated that his wife wanted him to help care more for their son as she was unable to do it by herself while he was doing alot of traveling.  She still wanted him to wrestle, but also spend more time caring for the child.

Does anyone know if this is true?

"WOW" almost doesn't seem like a big enough term! I think his wife needed a different name... Fertile Mertle comes to mind! LOL!Laughing

This might just be a reason for me to change my mind about wanting to have lived during those "Little House on the Prairie" days.  I love the simple life, but an epidural was an absolute must after days worth of labor.Cool

Hey Jan ... I use Avalon Organics Baby sunscreen on Tiffany.  It is an all natural, mineral sunscreen, rather than a chemical sunscreen, so it's a chore to get on.  But, I like it because it is natural, non-allergenic, and it doesn't sting her skin or eyes.

Have fun in the sun!!!  Cool  Devi

Where do you buy that Devi?  I haven't seen that brand before.  I am very interested.Smile

I try and  limit our outdoor exposure during the hottest parts of the day.  I feel like we are hermits for the majority of the summer.  I think that is the only time I am in a hurry for it to be Fall again, is when we are tired of trying to find activities that we can do inside to beat the heat.

Not really sure what things you have already tried, but I will give you some suggestions that were told to me.  Both my first and second pregnancies were over due and I found it both tiring and miserable.

I did tons and tons and tons more walking.  Not my favorite thing when I am waddling like a duck, but it did help.Embarassed

I also was told that having sex would help and although the very thought of having to do the mattress mambo when I was as big as a whale was not all that appealing, that too was helpful.Smile

Make sure to keep yourself hydrated.  Especially if the temperatures there are warmer than usual and with you not having air conditioning, you don't want to become dehydrated.

Best Wishes and Congratulations on your impending new arrival!Smile

Yes pezzy!  That was the article that I read!  And it was the only one that mentioned his son was mentally handicapped.  It made me wonder if that was why he took his son's life.  This doesn't make it right by no means, and since I  just can not grasp how someone would want to hurt their child, I was grasping for any answer that would explain what he could possibly have been thinking.  The whole thing makes no sense to me, but I have never taken steriods or any type of drugs for that matter, but  I have heard how they can mess you up.

 Very sad.Frown

Nope!  At  least there wasn't anything invented when my kids were little that would keep those darn things on.Smile

Anyway, I love baby feet...they are so cute!

My baby is almost 5 and I still love her feet, and her little crooked toe!!!Laughing
