I just looked at my page as well.  There are no pictures or Albums to look at.  I didn't have nearly as many pictures as everyone else, so hopefully it is just a little glitch.  I'll check back later and see if it was able to be fixed.  Don't worry just yet.Smile

When I was a kid, we took classes in summer school often for either just fun, or to get ahead.  I enjoyed school, and it was more fun in the summer because it was only a couple of hours and then you would still be able to hang out with your friends.Smile

When my eldest DD was younger, we had her take a Math class in summer school just to keep up her skills.  She is an excellent student, and no longer requires any help like that.

My eldest DS is currently in summer school for Speech Therapy.  His IEP was reviewed, and it was found that he would benefit from the extra services.  He goes for 2 1/2 hours per day, 3 times per week, for a total of three weeks.  We are currently on week #2.  The bus comes to the house to pick him up after lunch, and brings him home early afternoon.  It is working out well so far and continues to make a great structured day for him.Smile

I just found out about this great place to take the kids during summer.  My neighbor starting working there as an Event/Party Coordinator, and invited us to try out the activities during the free trial period.

It is through the YMCA.  The Put Play In Your Day Center is located at 5295 W. Phelps in Glendale.  Their phone number is (602) 942-9622.

It features XRKade equipment that combines interactive video games, fitness, and fun.

My children are all different ages from 4-15 years old.  There was something for everyone to do including the adults.  We all had the best time and while the children had fun playing all the interactive games, they were getting exercise without even realizing it!Smile

LOVE IT!

I have had 3 C-Sections.  The first one was with my 2nd child, and I found the entire process so much easier than my first natural birth.  The 2nd C-section was of an extreme emergency and although I was completely put under before he was delivered, I again had a smooth recovery.  I actually scheduled my 3rd C-section.  Personally I preferred this method, unfortunately, I had intense days worth of labor for the    2nd and 3rd pregnancies and the C-section was a last resort.  My last birth was so easy, enjoyable, and completely fear free.  It was wonderful!Smile

She just needs to  make sure she takes care of herself and follows doctors orders perfectly.  I still vacuumed and rearranged furniture which was an absolute no no!  I ended up with some scar tissue that can be painful at times, I had clean carpets though!Laughing

No need to be worried.Smile

I don't really have any great advice on this one.  My boys didn't have a problem giving up their binki's.  I think I was just lucky with them.  On the flip side, the girls both sucked on their fingers.  Eldest DD, her thumb, and youngest DD, her two middle fingers.

I say, be thankful you can get rid of the binki, because I couldn't do a thing about the fingers.  With eldest DD we tried the polish, the socks, bandaids, and countless other options.  Nothing worked, short of the Orthdontist telling her he was going to put a metal plate on the roof of her mouth.  That was when she was 11.  Ugh! And the braces to correct the problem were expensive.

Youngest DD still sucks on her fingers.  We encourage her to take them out of her mouth and remind her with our nice words that she is not supposed to have her fingers in her mouth.  Hopefully we can break her of this habit before she is 5.  She usually only does it when she is tired and going to sleep, not in public, which is a big improvement.  I wish you tons of luck!  It will eventually happen that Simon doesn't need it anymore.  He is still young and I am sure it is a great comfort to him.Smile

Even though I have no advice to give you regarding your current situation, I wanted to write and wish you well while you are caring for your grandchildren.  You seem to have their best interest at heart.

Best of Luck!Smile

Picking just the Top 5 movies that I love is extremely difficult!Smile  Who knew that I would have so much trouble with this question....

So I have made my selections based on the movies that I have watched the most times in my lifetime (and that I happen to own). Smile So here it goes...

1.  The Sound of Music

2.  Mary Poppins

3.  Pillow Talk

4.  The Little Princess

5.  The Princess Bride

Everyone has great ideas!Smile  I used different items for each one of my children, but you can never have enough diapers, wipes, and receiving blankets (we used the extra blankets for burp cloths).  I loved my boppy pillow...complete "must have" item.

The only other item that I consider an absolute "must have", was my car seat/stroller combination. I liked that if baby fell asleep during the car ride, that the car seat just simply attached to the stroller, and then there was no need to wake baby up.  I didn't have one for the first 2 children, and taking them out of the infant seat to put them in a stroller was a big pain.

I almost forgot...a baby monitor!  I still use them now if one of my younger children is sick, I just hook it up so that I can hear them in their room in case they need me.Smile

This past week, let's see...

1. DH's brain MRI came back normal. YEAH!  Doctor did not confirm if he actually had a brain, but everything else is fine.  DH actually asked me that!  He thinks he is so funny!Laughing

2. Spent a special weekend with Grandma and Grandpa for Father's Day and my youngest son's 7th birthday.

3.  Eldest son's bloodwork came back excellent, and the doctor is happy with his progress.  The new medication is working!  This is wonderful!Smile

4.  DH took a vacation and got home safely! He caught tons of fish and got to spend quality time with his Dad.

5. I was able to spend some quality time with my eldest daughter shopping for some new pillows for her bedroom.  We don't usually have much one on one time, so I truly enjoyed all the time we spent together talking and laughing.  We had a great time!  Besides that, we did a major redo of her room, rearranging furniture, cleaning out drawers & her closet, and changing out her bedding.  We are saving her Horse bedding for her little sister, and I gave her a more grown up comforter that I had when I was 18 and didn't need to use when I got married. 3 new pillows for less than $40.00 and her room is brand new.  It was so much fun!Smile

I enjoy all kinds of music.  I don't have a favorite song per se, but I do have several songs that I enjoy listening to over and over.  My Daniel Powter CD would have to be my most favorite right now.  All the songs are so different, and I have really enjoyed the entire CD.

If I am in the car by myself, I forget to turn on the stereo, but if my children are in the car, they always remember.  We listen to several stations, or CD's that my eldest daughter made with songs from her iPod.

I LOVE listening to my children sing the lyrics to their favorite songs!  It always makes me smile!Smile
