I saw this movie as well.  I, however, didn't enjoy it all that much.  Maybe because it was based on a true story and was quite honestly depressing.  I left wanting more Happyness.  It was amazing at what this man overcame and what he was willing to do for his child.  As a parent myself, there is nothing that I wouldn't do for my own children.  Maybe I am just more a Romantic Comedy girl....

My younger son wore pull-ups at night until he was almost 5.  We didn't give him anything to drink after dinner around 5 pm, and he would use the bathroom right before bed.  It just didn't seem to matter.  Bed wetting can be hereditary according to my doctor, so he didn't want us to be to upset about how long our son was taking to be dry overnight.  When our son went one week without a wet pull-up in the morning, we knew he was ready.  He has never had an accident and that has been for 2 years now.  Good Luck.  :0)

All of my children look the same.  In the baby pictures, we have to look at what they are wearing and which other siblings are in the photos to figure out which child it is.  As they are getting older they are starting to look more individual.  The girls are exact replicas...Brenna looks exactly like Brea at her age...10 years later.  My younger son was born with olive skin and extremely curly hair...he is now the only blonde in the family with stick straight hair and he is very fair.  My eldest son had blonde curly hair and green eyes (like daddy...all the other children have brown like me and the girls have brown hair as well), after his hair fell out from radiation and chemo, his hair came back dark brown and really thick.  It still gets curly if it gets to long.  It also is water repellent...we don't get that...maybe the chemo did something to it, because water just runs right off it.  Despite all of their growing changes, they still look like siblings.  People tell us often that they all look alike.  No mistaking whom they belong too!  Laughing

My youngest is four, and right now she is soooo hysterical!  I guess I had forgotten how funny and cute they are at this age.  She is getting her own personality, and growing up right before my eyes.  She is always full of information and loves to learn.  Since she is my only baby home right now, I am really appreciating every minute that I get to spend with her.  She can hold a great conversation as well!  :0)

Everyone of my pregnancies were different...all 4.  With my first pregnancy, my co-workers were convinced it was a boy.  I received a ton of infant boy clothes...big surprise, I had a GIRL!  I was sick sick sick the first time around...not sick a bit the second time other than the occasional overeating because I was always hungry!  That was baby was a boy.  Third time around I was sick for 6 months...I had to be put on medication.  This was the one and only pregnancy we decided to find out the sex of the baby ahead of time...this pregnancy also mirrored my first pregnancy to a tee...wasn't I shocked to find out it was a BOY!  For my last and final pregnancy, I was sick for the first trimester, and then other than being tired which is normal and having 3 other children to keep up with, nothing really resembled any of my other pregnancies.  I was LARGE with every pregnancy and gained alot of weight, 35 to 65 pounds.  The 65 pound weight gain was with pregnancy number 2 and I was ALWAYS starving!  We did look at the heart rate for every baby while I was pregnant.  They say that a slower heart rate means you are having a boy and a faster heart rate means you are having a girl.  It rang true for 3 of the 4 pregnancies.  Both my girls heart rates were in the 170's, my eldest son's was in the 140's, my younger son's stayed in the high end for a boy and the low end for a girl, so his was the only one that wasn't correct.  (That and my being so sick was why I was convinced I was having another girl).  Anyway...I have a friend and her Mother practiced some old wives tale with a needle and thread on my hand...wish I could remember all the details, but it was about 10 years ago.  I had a 5 year old daughter and a 2 1/2 year old son at the time and she told me that I would be having 2 more children and they were both going to be boys.  WHAT?!  I said NO WAY!!! We are NOT having anymore children let alone 2!  She said with complete certainty that I would be a mother of 4 children.  I just let it go, because we were NOT having anymore kids.  2 1/2 years later came the first boy, and 2 years after that came a girl.  She might have been wrong about the sex of one of the babies, but she had insisted that I was having more babies.  She was right...  :0)

My youngest (now 4) had Reflux as an infant.  We were also given the Zantac, but she screamed everytime we gave it to her and it just made things worse.  We always propped her up after every meal, and she NEVER slept in her bassinet.  We actually returned it because she wasn't able to use it.  She slept in her car seat or while I was holding her.  It was a long 8 months. LOL!  We did notice that as long as we did not lay her down after she was fed, she would rarely spit up.  She did eventually grow out of it.  YEAH!  :0)

My eldest daughter is in High School, and she doesn't have a boyfriend.  She has several boys that she likes, but mostly they are just friends.  That is so FINE by both my hubby and myself!  My eldest son is only 12, and all the girls love him! LOL...no specific girlfriend though, which is also fine by us.  My youngest son is 6 1/2 and up until about 6 months ago he was sweet on the girl across the street.  They each referred to each other as boyfriend/girlfriend.  We played along and they insisted that they were going to get married someday.  When my son found out on his birthday, that she had another "boyfriend" at school, he told her that he was breaking up with her because she had too many boyfriends, and he was confused.  We all laughed, but he was TOTALLY serious.  They are, of course, still friends. Her brother is 5 years older than her (11) and my 4 year old daughter refers to him as her boyfriend.  He is a sweet kid and plays along with it.  He always makes sure to say Hello to her if he sees her.  It is all innocent, and is never taken to far.  The whole boyfriend/girlfriend labels are not something I am really ready to deal with.  Oh well, they are growing up right in front of my eyes.  :0)

I was born in Illinois.  I lived there until I was 11 years old.  I moved with my entire family (Mom, Dad, and Sister) to Scottsdale, AZ.  My mother was in poor health due to the cold weather in Chicago, and her Dr.'s thought moving to a warmer climate would help her.  It most certainly did!  I have lived in AZ for 25 years now. Since I have gotten married and had children, our family has moved from Phoenix, to Gelndale and lastly to Peoria.  I do love raising my family here, and my hubby is a native of AZ so I don't think we will ever be leaving the state.  YEAH!  Moving stinks! LOL   :0)

My eldest daughter has been shaving her legs for a couple of years now.  We tried the electric razor first, and that didn't work.  Her hair, like mine, is too dark and thick, so it just wouldn't work.  We didn't like the smell of Nair, and it also didn't get all the hair off of her legs.  We ended up using a regular razor.  I started out by purchasing her shaving cream that was just for her legs.  I showed her how to use the razor, reminded her to be careful and to also go slow.  She really did quite well in the beginning and only knicked herself a couple of times.  We were both happy with the results, and now she is quite the pro.  She just uses the soap instead of shaving lotion, and rarely if ever cuts herself.  I let her start early shaving her legs as well.  I knew how it felt to have all that dark hair on her legs and be embarrassed.  My mother didn't let me shave until I was a Sophmore in HS.  Nothing like wearing sweatpants in PE in the AZ summers.  UGH!

Good Luck!  I hope whatever you decide to let her use that you get the results you are looking for.

Every Monday, I get up at 4 am to workout before I have to take my children to school.  It is the only day I have to get up this early because High School starts really early. My hubby takes her T-F on his way to work.  I get up T-Sat by 5 am, so that I can work out before the family gets up.  I LOVE the quiet of my house in the mornings!  Sundays I get to sleep in until almost 6 (my day off from exercising).  I wasn't always a morning person, but I most certainly have adapted.

1st baby at 21...

2nd baby at 24...

3rd baby at 29...

4th baby at 31...

Never imagined I would ever be the mother to 4 children.  My life would not be complete without them.  I didn't plan one single one of them.  Life is an adventure...I plan on living it to the fullest.

What an article?!  Thanks for putting a smile on my face!  Silly celebrities!  What will they do next....

Sure makes me feel so out of the loop!  I don't get much television viewing time, so I apparently miss out on all the dirt!

Thank Goodness for Gossip Girl!

I bought my Mom the most beautiful glass Humming Bird Feeder.  I also got her some great outdoor accessories for her patio.  She LOVES being outside, even when it is 115 degrees out, so I thought these gifts were the most fitting.  We will all go out to eat for a nice breakfast, and then just relax for the rest of the afternoon.  Well, DH will rest, he has to work Sunday evening, so I will probably just do my regular chores and prep work for Monday. Today is DD's birthday party, so this has certainly been a very busy weekend.

School is almost over and summer is almost here!  YEAH!  I am finding that I am the only person I know that is excited about having all of my children home for the summer.  Is anyone looking forward to the break?  I am going to enjoy no homework, no packing lunches, and no carpool.  These are things that I have been doing since August, and I am really looking forward to spending some quality time with my children.  They are growing up so fast! I want to enjoy every minute of their childhood and that includes the bickering I am sure to get over the next few months while they are all home together.  I still can't wait!
