KmomJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1374 | Posted: 7 months ago My husband travels quite frequently for work. However with the age of my kids now, as long as dad calls - no more work for mom. When they were younger and needed mom or dad to do for them, it was tough with 3 of them, but I am woman, hear me roar. Now, it is nice to have him gone, I get more work out of the kids,a s they know mom is the FINAL say and they can not run to dad.

KmomJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1374 | Posted: 7 months ago This sounds like a total blast. I would love to do something like this. I wanted to renew at 10 years, but that was almost 2 years ago. Maybe our 15th. Good luck on finding out info. I do not know anyone that has gotten ore renewed in Vegas. Denise

Don't think bad of me guys. I just like my brew. I am one that likes my beers - a fan of all except Miller for some odd reason. Just because you like your beer by any means does not make you a bad person at all. I believe there are MANY sensible parents out there that can have a beer and still be GREAT parent & person! Everyone needs a way to unwind and having a beer is many folks and they do it with respect. Many have coffee, or something else - what ever your poison may be does not define you! Denise
KmomJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1374 | Posted: 7 months ago I know this is scary to receive. We received one last summer notifying us of one in our area. Just so happens he lives right across the street from the neighborhood park and on the SAFE path to and from school. As an active Booster Club member, we started checking in because thought there was laws preventing them from being so close to a school and/or park where children will be. Well, here is what we, as the BC found out. He was getting of probation/parole before school started, by 3 days - so there was nothing we could do to prevent him from living there based on his level. Story of neighborhood, he was 23 girl was 16 it was a consentual relationship and then parents found out his age, yadda yadda yadda. Anyways, what you posted is ok, however please be careful - the flier only has to be sent out to a certain number of people in your area, not all receive. If you go out handing the flier out and distribute - you can be in trouble for violating his rights. The offender has all the rights, the city/state did there job by notifying the certain number. We held a community day at the school because of this gentleman - however we could not verbally tell anyone about him. It sucks that these people have the rights, and we as parents do not. My kids know that they are NEVER to be at that park alone without adult supervision and that a sexual offender lives in that house. I made sure to point out to them. If something is wrong and someone needs help, this is not a house to go to, etc. The BC has hired a person to stand, besides the crossing guard to stay at the park everyday after school to make sure kids get passed the house and make their way home. I know he is not at a risk level to younger kids, however you never know. The BC took one step further to protect the students of my kids school, as all of us parents could not have lived with ourselves if something would have happened to one of our own. Make sure you notify your neighbors around you that you know. Do not copy or reproduce the form. I am sure no person would mind the information, but if that said person can track any recopying back to one said person or group, the legal system is in court. In Glendale, each Sex Offender no matter the level is assigned a beat cop in their area. The police officer has to do 1-2 checks a month on each offender, they have right to go into house. These are random checks, reports have to be filed on these checks also. Check to see if Gilbert has this. Denise
KmomJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1374 | Posted: 7 months ago We purchased a cellphone for our daughter when she was 8. However this was based on her active life. Between practices, friends houses, school, etc - it was best. We laid some rules down, first this is hers to share with her brother and sister - however their lives are still not as active so she maintains it most of the time. Secondly, watch the time you talk on it, mom, dad, & home are great - these are free minutes - however if my plan runs over because of you - WATCH OUT. It has worked out quite well - in almost 3 years no overage on minutes and I have unlimited text message set up, so that is a good thing - YIKES if I had to pay for those. It is also the best punishment, take the phone away from her and give to her little brother or sister - you have a changed 11 year old. Denise
KmomJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1374 | Posted: 7 months ago No, there is a resturant in Scottsdale that has it, and it is delicious! So they gave me the ingredients and I played with it to get the level for on setting. This is fabulous on chips, chimichangas, veggies, crackers, and enchiladas. Not a fan of it on tacos or burritos - but to each his own taste. Denise
KmomJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1374 | Posted: 7 months ago No matter feelings of who is branded this is the society we live in. The best line of defense is education and information. I believe that is why they have levels of offenses on sex offenders. But, no matter the age, if something is invesitgated and warrants them to be arrested, then yes, you do the crime you do the time. life long registration is part of the time. Most sex offenders do not spend half their sentence behind bars - they are the first ones to be released, IF they serve anytime at all. Do I believe a 6 yr old could be labled a sex offender, my gosh what could they have done for this to happen. However, I do believe that the police and child services do investigate these cases before they would label a 6 year old a sexual offender. There is a point where exploration goes to far. Yes it is normal for kids to explore their bodies, but no matter the age, children should be taught that someone elses body does not belong to them and exploration of someone else is not permitted. The reason why kids are the wayt hey are now a days is becuase no one feels they can control them, however teaching your children AT HOME the difference between right and wrong is the best place to start. Do not rely on them to to learn the best fundamentals out on the street or from a kid their age, because that is not the recipe for success.

KmomJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1374 | Posted: 7 months ago I always went to the formal dances at my HS. We had Homecoming and Sweetheart Swirl (girls asked guys) open to Freshman - Senior. Homecoming was formal up until my Senior year, and then it went dress casual. Prom was only for Seniors and their dates. If you were asked by a Senior you could go. I looked so forward to these dances, and had a ball at all of them, except my Senior yr Sweetheart Swirl & Prom. The guy I was dating was an absolute JERK! Emotionaly and physically abusive, I could not talk to any of my friends. But all the other dances were wonderful GREAT memories. Denise

KmomJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1374 | Posted: 7 months ago My all time favorite was Virgina's Ice Cream. It was a homemade ice cream place in my hometown. And I got to work there from 14 - 16 yrs of age - so that made it even better! The Black Raspberry and Butter Pecan were my all time favorites, however I do not believe that there was one there I did not like. It was an awesome place to work! Now, I would have to say Coldstone Creamery Coffee Lover's Only and Strawberry Cheescake. There is nothing better! Denise
KmomJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1374 | Posted: 7 months ago OK, it is reported that Dr Phil bailed all of these little twits out of jail for an exclusive interview / show with them and their parents. First off, why would these parents want to "whore" out their daughters. I am appauld by that. I know I would be desperate to get my girl out of jail, however if my daughters and/or son did something like this - jail is the best place for them to teach them a lesson. I would never subject my child to this kind of "help", PLEASE - take out a second mortgage on your house, do something - but to sign rights to put them on national tv - UGH. Now you know where these girls have learned their actions from. Wonder besided the bail, just how much ol' Dr Phil gave them. . . . You see how he helped Britney. . . Denise
