KmomJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1374 | Posted: 2 yearss ago I have NO tolerance for owners with dog's who bite. We went back to IL last September to see my ill grandmother one last time before she passed away. After getting in town, stopping by the hospital, I took my husband and kids to my in-laws - so the kids were not bored or loud at the hospital. We got 3 steps into the house, a dog my kids never touched or seen before, came at my oldest daughter and attacked her. This *$!!#! ...r spaniel sounded like a wolf going after an animal to kill. It took my FIL and husband and me in between them to get the dog off her. We were back at the same hospital we left within 7 minutes from leaving (small town and my in laws live close). I called my parents to let them know what was going on, and they were at the door waiting for us. My nephew happened to be one of the nurses on duty, so we went straight in, by passed all. The sound of the dog and her screaming and then seeing all the blood, it was the MOST awful thing! She ended up having to have 28 stiches in one spot on her face and 9 in another on her chin. One of my rookie policemen, from when I worked at the PD, came to the hospital for the report. It was nice to see him after 10 years, however, not under those circumstances. He took the report, went to the house while the pound came over the FIL house to take the dog for the 10 day quarentine. I am glad it was him. Needless to say, they still have the dog because it never did this before - I was and still am livid. How can somene keep a dog after they hurt a child, especially your grandchild so severly? None of my kids provoked this dog in any way - we were only 3 steps into house and the dog came out of the kitchen, by passed my other 2 and went straight for Hannah. Hannah still has a little scar and it looks kind of like a dimple. The plastic surgeon that saw here said it depends her, if they laser it in her early teens.

KmomJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1374 | Posted: 2 yearss ago My favs would be, when I get to watch them - The First 48 & Dog th Bounty Hunter on A &E, Desperate Housewives, but I have not seen in sssooo long, and House Hunters on HGTV. I do not get to watch to much TV, if I do it is usually cartoons or something kid driven - Hannah Montana or something like that, in order to spend a little time with the kids.

KmomJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1374 | Posted: 2 yearss ago First - I would change my cell phone number and only give to those I really watned to keep in contact with! I would take care of my parents and my FIL (out of respect to my husband) so they would not have another worry for as long as they lived. Can you tell, I have not thought about this at all! KmomJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1374 | Posted: 2 yearss ago Thanks for the tip! I tried this last night and my drain in the masterbath - finally drains wonderfully! In 5 years, and alot of draino later it finally works like it should! Denise | |
KmomJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1374 | Posted: 2 yearss ago I am really shocked more Gator fans did not travel from FL. Living there - them FL people LOVE their football! However I am glad to see the outcome - the Gators brought the swamp to the house! I talked my husband out of betting on the game - we could have won a mint with them being the underdog - GOSH darn it, that $10,000,000 would have been close - HA! Denise |
