We generally play the big ones.  However like I would not be happy with the 3 million jackpot.  I was watching the news the other night and in the economy hard times more people buy lottery tickets - looking for the BIG PAYDAY, and it decreases your chances of winning.  That is why we have had so many HUGE jackpots here lately.

We have won several thousands from hitting some but not all the numbers.  I just wish one day all 6 balls would come up right.  And if I ever do there will be a BIG MT party hosted and paid for by moi!

Hannah is in private tennis lessons and band.

Samuel is in basketball and takes private guitar lessons.

Amanda is in softball.

Between all of their activities I am a mom that runs ALOT!  All 3 of them want me to find a swim team for them also - so this is a mission now.

I completely agree with you SJ!  I have not watched the video of the guy asking her about Monica, but that is the damn tackiest thing I have ever seen in my life.  God forbid my husband ever does that or gets caught, I would never want it to come back to my kids 10 years later.  What does that poor girl have to do with it.  I applaud Chelsey for being direct with him, as that is the headline I readon MSNBC, but did not watch.  However, this guys 15 minutes of fame will soon be up.  That is the problem with this USA - we think this is funny and condone this a$$hole being down right rude!  No ones daughter deserves this - no matter what public eye her parents are in.

As for the website, I saw this - tacky, tacky, tacky!  However there are enough young men out there who will do this to demean girls everywhere around the world.

Hannah went through this and the school sent home a note/permission slip.  You have a right if you choose not to send your daughter.  However, I let Hannah go, she learned the medical/technical side of it, and then she came home and we had a great talk!  I think it is best to talk after they hear all the technical stuff, as they may be confused with what all they hear at the session. 

I was not upset by this class at all - I welcomed it.  I had mine back in 5th grade and that was in the early 80's, so they are still targeting hte same age groups. 

My daughter already has 5 girls in her glass that have started their period - no warning, no talks prior - one poor girl thought she was dying and was at the movies with her sister and wearing white capri's.  This brought on some questions from Hannah, but hearing it from a nurse, at least that is who comes in at our school district, is much better.

I use to have the same issue when mine were younger.  However, their were kids across the street that had older kids who watched their younger brother - so we would swap off.  Always before one of us went in we made sure it was OK to leave ours outside, then regularly check on them.

My advise is to say to the kids parents, look I do not mind if your kids come out every once in a while, however with you not being out here I feel responsible for them, and I really wish you would check with me first before leaving them.  Most neighbors/parents should be reseptive to this - at least if they are responsible enough.

Now, all my kids are older and our house is the house to be at - which I love, my 10 soon to be 11 yr old hates!  DH & I want it this way, that way we can make sure we know what in the world is going on!
