Amanda went to full day Tutor Time for K when she just turned 5 because she missed the cut off to go to public school   It is state accredited, so we could have sent her onto 1st grade and forced issue of age, but decided not to. 

The private was nice, however I loved the public school program being fullday here. She gained alot in the private program, but even though teacher to student raio way higher in public, she gained SO much out of public school. 

My kids are in a public school though, you need to investigate all avenues before making the right decision.

When my little ones first started, I bought like 5 plastic table clothes that you would use on a picnic table.  Lay that on the floor, let them go to town, then I would pick up and throw in washer - hardly any clean up except if they were wild and you needed to clean the wall and of course the high chair.

Bed of nails- actually have done this before for my muscle spasms in my back.  It was not actually nais, was a hard plastic mat, but had very shar points - IT FELT SO GOOD.  My back looked like a connect the dots when I got up but gosh did it help!
