Ana - I think that their is NOTHING wrong with you having a relationship with your father and his "new" family. You are clsoe to your mom, that is great, but she does need to respect you need your father, and what comes along with it also.  Regardless of your mom being there at the time or not, either eay, she would have been hurt.  She was hurt the first time you saw your brother and his mom.  It is not easy, but you are the only one who can make the decision for yourself.  Do not let anyone make you feel guilty for it.  Like you said there was something that put all of you there at the same time.  All you can do is apologize for hurting your mom's feelings, but not for what you did - how would they have felt if you would have just walked out?

And you are NOT a bad person!

Obviously, if a child that young would know what the slay "ho" means, it needs a better enviroment and needs to be taught the meaning of St Nick and Christmas anyway!

I believe also that there are way to many people with time on their hands!  I wish I had that much time to think of ridiculous stuff like this.

I am with Keri - MERRY CHRISTMAS & HO HO HO!

Don't know about Young Chefs Academy here, however I enrolled Hannah in a class at Magianno's here one time - she loved it, and after she cooked the items, she served us the food.  It was so great to see her face!

By far - FISHER PRICE LITTLE PEOPLE.  When little people were still little people - not the size of an adult hand!  And they were wood, not plastic.

I guess I must have been a wierd child, I never thought to put one of those in my mouth and swallow it.  But the powers that be, deemed little people unsafe, and now I have no clue what they are called, cause they ain't little no more!

I completely agree with Rach & Stephen.  You and your husband are the ones to know if you are ready, no one else.  There is no right age answer, it is about maturity.  Your life will change.  I know someone who had her first at 15, and she is a FANTASTIC mother - always has been, and she has had 2 others since then.

You obviously knew at 18, you were not ready, and offered your baby a better life - that is very admirable and outstanding!

First time Black Friday shopper today.  UGH!  I went out this am, to one store - I picked up a few things as I walked into the store.  By the time I picked up a few more  - I saw the check out lines - OH HECK NO!  I put the stuff back, and in all the right places - and left.

Parking was wonderful, did not have toruble finding a spot, the lot was not even at full capacity.

NEVER EVER AGAIN.  I do not care what kind of deal it is.  Ppl are nuts, you stand in line for an hour or more to save a few $ when you think about it.  Well next year there is NO $ for my sleep!

For me no, I am always checking on my kids, no matter where I am.  Yes I will leave them alone with the other kids, however I check every 20 - 30 mintues just to make sure.
