KmomJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1374 | Posted: 2 yearss ago Mine would LOVE it, however like Keri - can not afford it, and able to get other items. I usually only spend a little more than that on all 3 kids, l start early and hope they do not find my hiding spots. Plus with the Disneyland trip - way to much. I too, have heard GREAT things about it, and it looks like fun, but maybe in the future - way future. Denise

KmomJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1374 | Posted: 2 yearss ago This year I have finally got all my decorations out, with the help from my mom in from IL. Usually I have no time, between work, games, practices, and basic day to day to get all 16 of my rubber maid totes out. I am really happy we did it. I will take a picture of the tree and post it! I even have fake snow, my mom surprised me and her and my dad went and bought stuffing for quilts and put on top of our pool table and made a village for my kids - heck who am I kidding I love it more that they do! KmomJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1374 | Posted: 2 yearss ago Disneyland at Thanksgiving time is WONDERFUL! Our longest line was 45 minutes max. Thanksgiving day was the busiest, if you can believe that, however Friday, Saturday, and Sunday were a breeze. I would suggest that time, the weather and crowds were just right!

KmomJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1374 | Posted: 2 yearss ago By all means report it. It is BULLYING (Spelling) and is not tollerated in AZ. I had my daughter seeing a Physchiatrist (spelling - again) with concerns to being bullied. There are forms on line that you can report this to the school district. From past experience, teachers do not generally deal with this - you have to go to administration. Unfortunately in my case, I had to threaten legal action before anythiing was done. I tried the intervention specialist, and the administration. My daughters doctor told me the laws and if you report this and they do not take action, they are at 100% fault. However you must document it. My daughter was being emotional and when it turned physical - that is when I said enough is enough. I reported the emotional abuse, but they said with out a witness - nothing could be done as it is her word vs. theirs. Well I found this NOT true at all. Children are to feel safe and secure in school, at anytime it affects the emotional, physically (as she was getting headaches and stomach cramps) there is no need for any type of evidence. The school is there to protect your child. Where was the lunch assistant that should have controlled this? I am so sorry that something SO SPECIAL has become a problem for your family. Let me know if you have any questions on what you need to do further, I know from experience.

KmomJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1374 | Posted: 2 yearss ago I am so glad that your son spoke up and you spoke to his teacher. However, one thing alarmed me - the comment that she said he gets by with alot because of family problems. First off, this should nto have been shared, and my school was guilty of this, because I am so actively involved with it, and personal friends with most of the staff. This is a child that needs special guidance and to be talked to - not just by a think letter. I am sure it will make him think then, but if it continues - please go to administration, a teacher is there to help in a few cases, but this may need to be turned over to someone more qualified to help him. My daughter going through the same issues at school with what use to be her best friend and it was hard for her to understand why girls were so mean. Then it became quick nudges at lunch and recess and that is when I got the school involved. I wish from the beginning that I would have - instead of just the professional help. The Dr opened my eyes to all the forms of bully's and what is not considered good enviroment for my kids. I was trying to coah her into not caring what other people thought and tell her bully, if you can not be nice, please do not follow me when I am playing with other friends. I am proud your son stood up to him, as that is half the battle. Please keep us posted.

KmomJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1374 | Posted: 2 yearss ago I have created an email account from the North Pole, and Santa has had to write a few emails - you should see the wide eyes to know that he actually saw THAT! If anyone would like an email, let me know! Denise
KmomJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1374 | Posted: 2 yearss ago I had my kids ask the same question, as I paper cordinate my kids gifts, instead of using name tags - that way they do nt knwo who's is who's. I let them know that sometimes the elves are so busy, Santa brings one of them with him and they wrap in the house, that way they make sure not to mix up any gifts. I know it was lame - but they bought it. My 9 year old says she still believes, but I think mostly because if she admits, she thinks it will stop. My 7 & 5 year old are still whole hog into it. I love that - they still believe in something that is so magical and joyful.
