KmomJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1374 | Posted: 1 years ago This is a great article, and I guess when my kids were young and it was their time to get the shots, I did not think twice about it. Especially since they needed them, or they would not be allowed into daycare and school. I did not study the shot schedule and thank god all 3 of my kids are fine. My question is, what would happen if we choose not to give our children these vaccines - can they be kicked out of daycares and be denied access to schools?

With Amanda I think they miscalculated my due date, we thought she was a month premie, however she was just fine - the heaviest out of all three and the best eater, so I was early with all of mine - and thanked the lord for it!

How in the heck do they do it? My house is lived in, I am comfortable with that, the only room that I like to make sure is cleaned is my kitchen - dishes done every night before bed, and if not first thing at 5am when I get up. I really enjoy the living room picke dup too, however, but am not that anal about. Like Rach said - one more day is not going to hurt anything - take time for yourself to just take a deep breathe and tackle it tomorrow. If your kids like to help, even if it is something that is not done as perfect as you would have done it, have them at least help, this gives them a sense of accomplishment when they wipe doen a mirror, or dust a table.

KmomJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1374 | Posted: 1 years ago How funny! All 3 of mine were pickers, and all the stop it, and quit never seemed to work. I am thinking back, and I can honestly not remember me having the gross habit, I am sure I did, but heck I was perfect and still am -HEHE! I just look at it they must have inherited this from dad, and then common sense that they got from me kicks in and they stop! HEHE!Denise

KmomJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1374 | Posted: 1 years ago I loved Halloween as a kid. In my hometown - it was great. We got to start at 5 and go til 9, so needless to say - we hit alot of places. When I was little would make the rounds to families houses (grandparents, aunts and uncles, etc) then to the mall, and the to house in the hood that we knew. Once I got older - maybe 9-10 I got to go out with a group of friends by ourselves. (it was a different time and small town) It was great! It makes me sad that our kids do not get to experience the same things we did - have the same experiences, now we have to worry to much about the safety of them because of the sickos out there. No matter what anyone says - I would relive the late 70's - 80's ALL OVER AGAIN! Denise
