KmomJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1375 | Posted: 1 years ago I take great pride in my work at my kids school. I actively stay involved, so I know what is going on and I am the mom in the know. Even though I work fulltime, I take my vacation days for field trips, in classroom assistance. I was in charge of father/daughter dance this year, mother/son magician night, am on the fundraising committee, and am VP of PTA. I love volunteering at the school, and I know that it is not only something I really enjoy all the kids love to have me around. My oldest does not like it being in 5th grade, not cool to have mom at school, but her friends like it, because I am the cool mom with the fun house! Denise

Then I hit the shower and my day is off an going. However, now since MT came into my like, after shower, I hit the coffee pot and laptop now, to where I use to just hit the coffee. Denise

KmomJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1375 | Posted: 1 years ago I would change the creep I started to date 10/88 to 4/90. He was the greatest, cutest guy in the world when we first started dating. Then it all changed, I was so warped by him and brain controlled that I actually did not go to college because of him. I graduated midterm to start school, but he told me if I left he would not be there when I got back, so I did not go -my mom and dad lost out on a lot of money. Then we moved in together because at 18, I knew everything and my parents did not. By the time I was 19, I had nothing to do with ANY member of my family it was about him, his family, and HIS friends. That is when the beatings started. Thankful for my 20th birthday, my family called for an olive branch, and I crabbed on and took it. 2/2/90, I left him after he threw me thru a wall, and then got in April I got him outta my life for good. But, I did get my revenge later in life - as he moved away about a yr or 2 after. He came back home and that is when I worked at the PD - he came back to town and I was out with a bunch of the guys I work with, he came into the same bar, and came up to me. One of the guys had been a family friend of my cousins since grade school so he knew who he was. This ex of mine had no clue htat I was at the table with 7 guys who worked at the PD, well when he left - they left and lets say he has never spoken to me since. I know that may be bad, but it is a sweet reward to have friends that would protect you like that 5 years later. Denise
KmomJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1375 | Posted: 1 years ago Hey, I wish I would have read this last night, I would have so went to Sonic and spolied my diet and got a rootbeer float. I use to work at McDonalds in high school - I loved it, being in a small town, it was a great job, all my firends worked there too, and we hung out all the time. It was so fun to go to work, because your friends were there. Even closing on a Friday or Saturday night was OK, because you knew they were stuck there too. However i did work at the one in the mall, and I did get out no later that 10, even if I closed. Denise

KmomJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1375 | Posted: 1 years ago Mine are not 15 yet, which is the age you are suppose to be to have an account. However my 10 yr old has several friends that have an account, and it is ALARMING what 10 year olds are posting on there. I will not allow Hannah to get one, and in her circle of friends, I am uncool in this respect. Even if I monitored it, I would not allow it. The rules state 15, and allowing your child at 10 to break the rules - what is that teaching them. Drinking age is 21, but you can do it at home at 16 - NO WAY. Rules are rules. I think that the sickos on the site should be reported. Do you realize that employers, schools, and colleges are searching this site and some ppl are being turned down jobs and college acceptance based on the profile they have on there? Kids and adults alike think that anything goes and think they are cool by posting something that is totally OFF the wall - and it is haunting them. If a parent does not monitor the myspace page of their child, no matter the childs age, then shame on them! It is a sad world we live in now, and getter even worse. The guy in KS that was just arrested for the kidnapping and murder of the 18 yr old myspace page said he liked to eat small children and small animals. Does that explain anything?

KmomJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1375 | Posted: 1 years ago Dishes are my least favorite thing to do, I would rather do laundry or clean the toilet. However, I am anal about it, and if my DD do help out - I always redo. Denise

KmomJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1375 | Posted: 1 years ago This is something that I have never thought of. Even when the kids were teasing me of denise / denephew growing up. I have, I guess, always liked my name.

KmomJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1375 | Posted: 1 years ago Have her help you pick out her clothes. Also, maybe try big girl underpants - have her pick them out when you buy them. Even if she puts them on over diaper or pull up - it may work. My daughter went thru that - she would fight me to get dressed, and then would always want one of 2 dresses - so they got washed alot! BUt what ever it takes. Hope this helps a little. Denise |
