I would LOVE for my kids school to go to uniforms.  That way you would not have to compete with the "girl next door".  I know I competed to be hip in school, but I crew up in the 80's, we competed to make sure our collars stayed up.  Now a days, it is how high can the shorts and skirts go and how low can the neckline go.

 I am all in favor of it, and would be a big supporter.

Just make sure it is visible, so she does not take a bite of the carat!  HEHE!  Way to go Travis!   Lots of points for the romantic thing my friend! 

I think getting someone to video tape it, or at least pictures would be great, if you could work that out.  However, just be yourself.  I think the normal evening approach, so she does not suspect anything is the way to go, that way she will be SSSOOOO SURPRISED!

Love a long bath, but do not get to many of those anymore.

Usually a shower, and quick at that - especially if I do not want my littlest to find me and jump in.

I love Shalimar, that is my all time favorite.  Second is Victoria Secrets Heavenly.

Hubby wears Obsession and Eternity right now, but I love Chrome and Cool Water for him!

No yelling from here.  We all get stubborn at times, and the hardest thing to swallow is our pride, expecially for a man - SORRY Stephen, Travis, and all the guys here on MT!

Call your dad, I am sure he is feeling the same way.  Tell him you forgot and the silliness you felt and still feel over this issue.  I am sure by Christmas, it will be a funny issue.  Call your stepmom on her half birthday, mark your calendar, this will surprise her, and she will laugh with you!

Children since things when they are not quite right.  Your son may be sensing that something in you is changing, i.e. the new baby.  Like Googly Gal stated, have Mommy and me time.

The baby doll is a GREAT idea also.  This will help him learn how to be gentle and loving towards the baby, so when his new little brother or sister comes to see him, he will be able to be a BIG part of it, instead of feeling pushed aside.

I would also encourage him in choices on the new baby - clothes, diaper bag choice, nursery room color, etc - this will make him feel like a BIG BOY and may help the situation.

The terrible 2's go into the trysome 3's, so be patient mom, it is only the beginning. First we wish for sound, then mobility, then we PRAY for a muzzell and leash!

All 3 of my kids did this also, actually they slept better on their tummy's and that was reason enough to THANK GOD for a food nights sleep!

It is true that the chance of sids is reduced, because they have the ability to roll over or lift head up if needed, instead of have it buried in the mattress.  Just make sure she is laying on a hard mattress and not a pillow or soft item that she will sink into.

Monitor the situation closely.  It is great that Hope's teacher gave you stuff to try at home, however - keep an eye on what the teacher is doing.  I do not have a deaf child however, when my son was in 1st grade, I too felt he was better than the marks he was getting in some areas.  I was told that was the best of his abilities and the teacher was happy with where he was at, because he was in the middle of the class scale - there was no need to worry. 

Well, his 2nd grade teacher has found the nitch for Sam - his ready has progressed from a below 2nd grade level at the beginning of the year to a 4th grade level in just 2 quarters.  I expressed my concern at our first P/T conference, and she listened to me and noticed it also.

After monitoring it, do not hesitate to go to Administration, that is what they are there for.  Talk openly with the Asst Principle or Principle, they are great resources and can also help!

I am an neither Democrat or Rebuplican, I vote for the person, and like to wait til it is down to 2 and research from there and then make my decision.  So right now I am undecided.

I know some may think this is wrong, but the imprtance of voting is not something I take lightly - and if I do not have the time or effort to investigate every person, I will not vote.

When we get our ballot in the mail early here to show us what they are like, I hit the computer and research all.  I take this very seriously, even if my person does not win, I know I put forth an effort to try to better myself, my country, and possibly everyone around me.
