Ice chips would even give me acid reflux! Wierd craving - I KNOW! By my 3rd, I never even used a spoon with the malox, just swigged right out of the bottle.
If something happens and my tubal fails after 6 years - and I get pregnant again - EVERYONE BUY STOCK IN MALOX! Denise

KmomJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1375 | Posted: 2 yearss ago It is not something that I have done, it is something that happened to me and my family when we were moving from FL to AZ in Aug 2001. We were driving across country me, hubby, Hannah 4, Sam 2 Amanda 11 months and our dachshund. We stopped in Baton Rouge, LA for the night. That morning, I got myself and ALL 3 kids ready before hubby was anywhere close to being done, so I thought I would get a start and load the car. Hannah asked if she could come with me, so I let her come. After loading the backend of our Expedition up with everything we owned for 3 week, except for the diaper bag and the ice cooler, I decided to clean the car out of the day before trash - BIG MISTAKE! Hannah asked if she could stand on the sidewalk, instead of me putting her in the back seats like I normally did when do anything with the car even if in our own driveway. I told her that was fine, as long as she talked to mommy so I could now whwere she was. So we were chatting, and a man approached the car, I pulled the door in, and he proceeded to go to the Mercedes next to me like he was getting in the trunk, so I turned my back - BIG MISTAKE! Once I did that, he was back at me with a 8 inch metal rebar to my throat demanding the car. My first thought was Hannah is fine, I can still hear her. My next thought was to feel what the round object was at my neck - no gun, THANK GOD! So since everything we had to live on for 3 weeks was in the car and my baby was ok, I started to fight. The guy could not find the keys because they were in my pocket, I eventually got the rebar away for him and just started beating him over the head with it. He finally found the keys, and get this, after he had them in his hand, looked at me and said "are ya going with me?" - OH sure, what an ass for doing this, and an even bigger one for saying that. Of course I said NO, and he through me from the car. Thank God that it was a Mercedes SUV next to me, because I rolled under it or he would have backed over my legs. I picked Hannah up and ran to the front desk, who mind you front window was 2 rooms down, me screaming, Hannah screaming - no one bothered to help. There was a man who finally heard us and ran to us, but it was when he was throwing me form the car. It was scary at the time, but now it is funny - I was furious and fighting mad - HOW DARE HE! I am 5'1" and at the time about 105 lbs. This was a big 6' + man that got the crap beat out of him - I know he had to have a headache, as I did break his head open from me beating on him. They never caught the jack that did this, but Hannah and I are ok, that is all that matters. A positive thing that came out of this, when my grandmother died earlier that year, I explained to Hannah that Great Grandma was in heaven and she was her angel. After things calmed down and why we were waiting for the police, Hannah looked at me and said "Grandma Dorothy was holding her hand." Denise

KmomJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1375 | Posted: 2 yearss ago My husband is personal friends with the members of Buckcherry - rock band that is popular right now. They tour quite frequently and we go to several shows of there's through the AZ, AZ, TX area out here. They even appeared on Jay Leno March 2nd. We get to go back stage hang out and get to meet the other bands - it is cool. I have met other people, but to me these guys are the best - they are still down to earth and some of the band memebers will go out into the crowd before the show and walk around like normal people - and most of the crowd member have no clue who they are without all the hipe around them. It is really great to be around a group of guys who are so successful and have made it, but take time out for their friends. Denise

KmomJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1375 | Posted: 2 yearss ago Oh, I just remembered, Orland FL 1997 - eating at Outback - Tiger Woods was at the table behind us. He was very nice, came over and complimented us on how cute Hannah was and thanked us for being so cool and allowing him to enjoy his evening out. He lived close by and was there quite frequently.

KmomJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1375 | Posted: 2 yearss ago I too, have 2 sets of in-laws. My husbands mother and 9th husband, I have only seen twice in 11 years of be being. They have seen Hannah twice, and Sam & Amanda only once. My hubbys mom did not come to our wedding because my hubby did not go to her last wedding. No loss there. Oh, and I think they are in TN now. My husbands father is remarried, and she is what I pretty much consider my MIL. However, they are the typical inlaws - I am so glad they live in IL, as I would probably be divorced if they lived to where it was a daily or wekely basis of seeing them. My husband idolizes his father, however I see a lot of short comings - he left when my hubby was 2, with a mother who was more interested in the next catch or party, and 2 brothers. Shortly after he left she hooked up with a man, got prego with a girl and then became involved with lil sis' dad - this man was HORRIBLE to my husband! I think this is why my hubby is such a good father is because he will never be like most of his stepfathers. My FIL came and went out of hubbys life, although when he did, he always brought presents and then was the BEST dad in the world. He still does this. We moved from FL back to IL, so our kids could get to know the grandparents - in 2 1/2 years, they came up to Chicago twice - one for the day, one time spent one night. We always had to make the 3 hour driver with 1, then 2, and then 3 kids - in order to see them. Since we have been in AZ - in 6 years, they have been out here twice. They travel every where else, but not here to often. But then when we go on vacations and do not make a point to go to IL, FIL makes hubby feel guilty. When they are in AZ, they do not want to help with kids, pick up from school watch them because they are on vacation and would rather be at casino gambling. I do not trust them with my kids either for a long period of time - they do not respect my rules or boudaries. Everything is a joke to both of them and I am not all about that. I could go on for days for the reason I am glad they do not stop by too often. But I will say, since this is my husband's family I am polite and do try my best not to let my feelings show. I put on a brave face and if something happens, I go to my room - vent for a few mintues or hours at times instead of saying something - because if I did, I would be the witch of the family. Denise |
