I am trying to think of some actvity to have our schools PTA to sponsor for mom/son(s).  We are having a father/daughter dance, and are trying to come up with ideas for mother/son.

We have thought of Home Depot or Lowes, however they no longer come to the schools to do this.

 Any thoughts????  I would love to hear from all, so I can take to my next PTA meeting.

We are a K - 8 school, however it will probably draw a better crowd from K - 4 maybe 5 - after that I do not know if it is cool to hang out with mom.  Sorry - I ahould have put that in there

The Habitat for Humanity is a great idea, however - may be to old for this age group.

I saw a commercial for Opera - him and his parents are on her show today.  Going to try to be home by 3 to watch.

It will be interesting to what he can / can not say due to the on going investigation.

I was unable to watch at 3, but will be watching at 9.  I talked to a friend that saw it though, and she thought something was off also, and could not place her finger on it either.

I took my 9 year old to Tim McGraw and Faith Hill when they were here last year.  She was so excited to go.  Even with ear plugs  her comment was - I can believe how load it was.  She did not mind the music - it was us screaming woman for Tim!

I am glad you had a good time - it is a GREAT experience to share those first as mother and daughter.

Ok, watched the 9pm show - some of it anyway-  fell asleep in commercial before Ben came out.

Shawn there was something off.  It looked to me like everything he was saying was scripted to him - he said the same thing, but in different ways several times.  He barely looked at mom, but always the stepdad.  And why was the aunt there. 

I got no good feeling about this after I watched.  I know the American puplic wants to know, however, after all you child has been through - to put him on national TV with Oprah shortly after found is a bit alarming to me.  I thought it was good before, til I saw the aunt there - are they looking for their fame now?  Maybe I am wrong in feeling that way, then for her to go there - even though it is a public / national news - to ask about sexual molestation of a child and for a parent to answer????  Why would you do that to your child?  Sexual Victims are to be protected, even adult sexual victims names are not given unless they give it up, and to have a parent do that to their child?  Kids are CRUEL - and to put him through that torture also.

Yes it would have came out eventually, however with Oprah?? It should have been charged and nothing further said, my two cents though.

The main thing is, thank GOD he is home now and alive - him and Ben both!

Spring 1976 - went to Fl to see Grandparents who wintered there and got to go to Disneyworld! And then summer 1976 - my family and I traveled by train from IL - CA to see an aunt.  Once got there wet to the beaches, Knotts Berry Farm, Disney - it was great.

How great is that BOTH Disney's in one year!
