They still get into cat fights and cause all sorts of problems. I have several here that are injured. One has a broke front leg and another is missing an eye. You must first learn to pronounce the city name, it is: FEE-NICKS'. There are other names to learn such as Awatukee (Ah-wa-Too-Kee) but that will be included in the advanced course. 2. The morning rush hour is from 5:00 am to noon. The evening rush hour is from noon to 7:00 pm. Friday's rush hour starts on Thursday morning. 3. The minimum acceptable speed on most freeways is 85 mph. On Loop 101, your speed is expected to at least match the highway number. Anything less is considered 'Wussy'. 4. Forget the traffic rules you learned elsewhere. Phoenix has its own version of traffic rules. For example, cars/trucks with the loudest muffler go first at a four-way stop; the trucks with the biggest tires go second. However, East Valley, SUV-driving, cell phone-talking moms ALWAYS have the right of way. 5. If you actually stop at a yellow light, you will be rear ended, cussed out, and possibly shot. 6. Never honk at anyone. Ever. Seriously. It's another offense that can get you shot. 7. Road construction is permanent and continuous in Phoenix. Detour barrels are moved around for your entertainment pleasure during the middle of the night to make the next day's driving a bit more exciting. 8. Watch carefully for road hazards such as drunks, skunks, dogs, barrels, cones, cows, horses, cats, mattresses, shredded tires, squirrels, rabbits, crows, vultures, javelinas, roadrunners, and the coyotes feeding on any of these items. 9. Maricopa Freeway, Papago Freeway and the 'I-10' are the same road. SR202 is the same road as The Red Mountain FWY. Dunlap and Olive are the same street too. Jefferson becomes Washington, but they are not the same street. SR 101 is also the Pima FWY except west of I-17, which is also The Black Canyon FWY, and The Veterans Memorial HWY. Lastly, Thunderbird Rd. becomes Cactus Rd. but, Cactus Rd. doesn't become Thunderbird Rd. because it dead ends at a mountain. 10. If someone actually has their turn signal on, wave them to the shoulder immediately to let them know it has been 'accidentally activated. 11. If you are in the left lane and only driving 70 in a 55-65 mph zone, you are considered a road hazard and will be 'flipped off' accordingly. If you return the flip, you'll be shot. 12. Then its like having a two yr old again. Id just ignore it. Turn your back or leave the room. They see that they can rile you up if they throw a tantrum. They seem to know how to push your buttons at the right time. If you are at the store and its not exactly possibl for you to go home take her out to the car until she is done with her fit. ALSO when she is behaving and doing things right praise her for it. Dont dwell on the negative stuff. Ignore it. Tell her once NO then try to distract her with something else. Good Luck. Im not wanting to start a race issue or a fight but if I was to live in another country I would learn the language instead of making the country cater to me. I found out from my Birthmother that my Father was full hispanic. Which means Im half. Kinda put me in my place. I still suck as speaking spanish tho. My son is being tested for IEP at this moment. I went the diet route many times over the years since he was diagnosed at the age of 8. Its not his diet. This is a genetic problem and runs deep in the family. Goes all the way back to Daniel Boone who was a great great grandfather on my husband's side of the family. And with him being on IEP he will be concidered a minor until he is 23. Shudder the thought. Solamente el fuertes sobreviven - Only the Strong Survive!

keriaz Joined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1719	Title: I need prayers again Posted: 8 months ago Ok all! Here is an update. I went in 3 wks ago for a CT and got the results last Friday. For the GOOD news!!! There are no evidence of cancer returning. The other is that I do have a blockage in my right Ureter and he asked me when I had my stents put in. I told him about a year ago and he about fell off the chair. I guess that supposedly they are only to be left in for up to 6 months only. The norm is 3 to 4 months. So he said that the stent on my right side is probably breaking down. He has contacted my Urologist and I am to see him next tues. So that is where things stand right now.
