Oh we LOVE ice cream around here! Mine is anything with Carmel in it or marshmallows. Once in awhile when I have the extra money I will take the kids to Dairy queen.

Kids like just about any type of Ice cream.

My daughter Caitlynn is starting the 7th grade and Jr High school in less then 3 weeks now. Im nervous for her to start. Why?? I dont know. Maybe its just sumptin new. My son is headin into the 9th grade and Im not bothered by that. Wasnt bothered when he started the 7th grade. So why am I nervous about her going? Anyone ever been in this position before??

I remember when I went to the 7th grade I was nervous myself. Maybe I am reliving my own fears? I had a bad experience with public schools since the 3rd grade. I had one shrink who gave me a mental test back then and when we were finished he looked at me and all he said as he got in my face "My you ARE stupid arent you!"  I was only in the 3rd grade so I didnt know any better.  I was stuck in classes with the mentally challenged kids and I knew I didnt belong there. But what does an 8 yr old do about it? 

 Maybe Im just reliving my own fears.

I just watching the news and just learned of a helicopter crash involving Channel 3 and Channel 15. I was horrified to think it was my Favorite pilot Bruce Hafner was dead. Thankfully we found out that he wasnt flying this time. I guess it was two that were amongst others who were following a police chase.

Oh the horrible loss of Channel 3's pilot and cameraman.

Please pray for the families of both Channel 3 and Channel 15

Yuck. Im sorry to hear that. Ours has been on the fritz for over a month. Cant afford to fix it. Thankfully we have a swamp cooler. Ya its 86 in here with a high humidity but I have some fans going to help. Wish I can afford to fix my A/C. It  went out last winter and were in the cold for two weeks waitin on a part but now our warrenty expired. Our mistake for that one. Oh well.

Stand in the cold shower.

Channel 3 news is always on here in my house and knowing that Scott Bowerbank and Jim Cox will no longer be there breaks my heart.

And now waking up this morning to hear a police officer was shot in the face and has died just really breaks my heart even more. Im not a big fan of the police but they dont deserve to die while at work. Esp one that was sooooo young and had young children too. He was just a baby really.

I heard that the cameraman of Channel 15 lost a grandchild Thursday and he was preparing to leave for the funeral. How sad now that Grandpa and grandchild are now gone.

Sounds like your low on freon. My a/c unit on my old house did that. We'd just pour hot water on it and the thing would thaw out.  We ended up re-wrapping the pipe cause back then our pup chewed off all the foam wrap and it helped stop the freezing.

I hope they get out there soon. Not having A/C stinks. I know.

Ya its just a horrible weekend. Seems to me that my weekend has gone in slow motion.

I have dealt with police when one of thier own was injured. That happened a couple yrs ago. Its a scary, stressful and antsy time knowin this officer was just injured in a collision. He wasnt hurt too bad but still. There is that rush to get them to the hospital to make sure that they are ok to go home to thier families.

I cannot imagine what the Phx PD are going through but at least they caught and will be facing the death penalty.

I hope and pray that the guy who stole those vehicles will be charged with the deaths of the news guys!!! He should be. But that is up to the DA's office.

Rest in Peace Guys.

I know I am tendered hearted somewhere in there. Im more nuteral when dealing with patients but when it comes to fellow safety workers or children I take abit more time and care. BUT boy howdy if you get into the back of my ambulance and you are drunk and disorderly LOOK OUT. I will be the worst enemy of your life. I will have my knee in your chest straping your arms and legs down to my gurney. Then you'll get the largest needle stuck in you somewhere. If we cant get it in your arms we go to the feet then the neck. Done it many times before and I will do it many more times. But if your drunk and injured and play nice I will help you nicely.
