keriazJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1719 | Posted: 2 yearss ago My daughter Caitlynn is 11 yrs old and I taught her how to shave last year. I think its a good idea to show her by shaving your own legs. She can follow along with what you are doing. I dont like the electric razors and I just dont like the nair stuff. I took Caitlynn out and let her pick out the kind of razor she wanted and the kind of shave gel too. Big time stuff. So now she shaves all the time. Next step Training Bra! AAAAAARRRRRGGGGH! keriazJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1719 | Posted: 2 yearss ago My daughter who is 11 is at that same age also. Sheesh where has the time gone to??? The same rule applies to my kids as it did with me! 16 is the magical age where they can date. Having a boyfriend at this age is just note passing. I have told my kids that they have no business having a REAL boyfriend until they are 16. Too many things can happen. I did explain that when a boy is knocking on my front door when my girl is 16 that there will be a loaded shotgun waiting along with a lengthy application form naming the next of kin. On top of that he has to submit to a DNA swab! LOL.

keriazJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1719 | Posted: 2 yearss ago Pppppppssssssstttt! Everyone has lymph nodes in them. It depends on if they grow larger that you should be abit worried. Sometimes they increase in size due to illness or an infection. Keep an eye on it and if anything changes contact your doc! Solamente el fuertes sobreviven - Only the Strong Survive!

keriazJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1719 | Posted: 2 yearss ago Oh my goodness. So terribly sorry for the loss of your Brother inlaw! Its such a hard thing to do and go through. I will pray for you and your family to find the strength and peace through this difficult time. And will say an extra prayer for you to keep your head on straight and get things done. I have done that before for my Father inlaw when he passed away in 2000. Nobody knew what to do so I took over. Called everyone that needed to know, screened the phone calls and visitors and helped guide the family in planning for the funeral. Good Luck. Will be thinking about you. keriazJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1719 | Posted: 2 yearss ago When my kids were babies I used a hard plastic tub for my son and then with my daughter we used the blow up tub. When they were able to sit up we used the kitchen sink. Nothing wrong with that! Just clean it out very well with soap and a sponge or rag. There are also tub rings where the baby sits in it a they cant go anywhere. Good Luck on it. Solamente el fuertes sobreviven - Only the Strong Survive!

keriazJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1719 | Posted: 2 yearss ago Hmm. I do not know when babies hit thier growth spurt. Maybe its time to add abit of rice cereal. Does you little one take a bottle at all or just breastfed only? If he does and you use breastmilk try adding some baby rice cereal to the milk. That might help abit. As long as there are plenty of wet diapers and he doesnt seem sick I think he might be going through a growth spurt. Just wait until they are teens and they go through clothes every other week!

keriazJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1719 | Posted: 2 yearss ago I strongly encourage any parent to teach thier child how to swim no matter if you have a pool or not. Its better for them to learn how to float, to rollover onto thier backs and to kick enough to get to the side. Its never too soon to introduce them to the water. It will save thier lives.

keriazJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1719 | Posted: 2 yearss ago Things have gotten abit better. He hasnt had anything to drink liquor wise since March 2nd. I am very proud of him. We shall see how things go! Yesterday was a hard day for him cause it was his birthday and he has never had one sober since he was a little kid. He did very well. Thanks for thinking about us. keriazJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1719 | Posted: 2 yearss ago I have no clue on this one. Personally I HATE tampons. My daughter is 11.5 years old and she has begun her period. She hasnt asked me about tampons cause we are still learning about pads. LOL.Solamente el fuertes sobreviven - Only the Strong Survive!
keriazJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1719 | Posted: 2 yearss ago I would let her know that you are not rich and most of those kids on the TV show dont get everything they want. Ask her what else she would want to do for her 13th birthday. When my son turned 13 he wanted to go to Gameworks. I told him that all there is at that place is just games. But he was determined to go so we went. Maybe for your daughter have a pool party? When is her Bday? Is it in the summer? What is her favorite thing or things to do? Maybe you can incorporate her favorite things into a party. Solamente el fuertes sobreviven - Only the Strong Survive!
keriazJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1719 | Posted: 2 yearss ago Shoot looks like we all have that problem! Stinks doesnt it. I had gone to my dr and talked to her about it and she said that it is common for Mother's like us. Juggling Work, Children, a home, and outside activities it wears us all down. Also the low self-esteem that we might have about ourselves because of our appearence or weight issues has alot to do with it. Maybe try having a night or two alone with hubby. No kids, no activities and for petes sake let the dishes go for the night! I did this Saturday night. I sent my kids to my MIL's, unplugged the phone and just spent the night together. Not to mention it was DH's Bday. We spent the day alone together and things began to happen that night! Solamente el fuertes sobreviven - Only the Strong Survive! |
