At least two of my calls each shift is dealing with difficulty breathing due to these people smoking. Its sad watching these people struggling to breathe. Around 3am this morning we took a guy to the hospital who use to smoke. He was on the verge of death and whatever we did for him didnt help. The docs put him on a breathing machine cause he was filling up with fluid. Its just sad ya know. Its such an addicting habit.

keriazJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1719 | Posted: 2 yearss ago Ok! I will be the first. This has been driving me insane for a long time and really the problem isnt his fault. Its what he does when he has it that drive me up the wall. My hubby has psorosis of the skin. Now he cant help having this genetic condition but when his skin starts to flake or bother him he picks at it. There are dead skin flakes everywhere. Totally gross. I just want to strangle him when he does this.

keriazJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1719 | Posted: 2 yearss ago Do any of you think youd be able to do something like this or similar? I wonder half the time if this is just something instinctual. I have noticed that when someone is in a crisis that there are tons of people willing to stand there and stare but only a few are willing to help. I have this habit or more like instinct that when someone is in need I go running. At my old home we lived near Ellsworth road in East Mesa(az) and that is a horrible road of accidents. Never failed... when I was outside hanging out with my hubby I would hear a wreck happen. Hubby would ask me if I had my phone and would say see ya in awhile as I am running down the street. Majority of the time I was the first person on scene checking people out for injuries. Now Im in a career that I absolutely love doing. People at 9-1-1 know me well. I think people need to stop being so self absorbed and start seeing the world for the first time. It doesnt take much just to hold someones hand or to comfort someone who is hurting. Dont be afraid to get involved. Shoot you may even feel good about yourself in the end. In the state of Arizona if you dont know this.. there is a law called the Good Samaritan law. It states you CANNOT be sued for trying to help someone who is injured. So if someone's heart stopped beating and you try CPR not knowing how to do it and they dont live the family cannot come back at you and sue you for it. Ok Im done rattling. Also the fear of them driving. My son is ADHD and so scatterbrained that I really dont want him to be driving. I feel my daughter who is 11 is more responsible then my 13 yr old son. keriazJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1719 | Posted: 2 yearss ago I dont know really. Shoot I dont have enough money to go and buy my kids handheld video games. My kids do have a PS2 and some games. I think its a good idea for kids to be techo savy then not. Alot kids have computers and are knowledgeable about them. My kids have been on the computer since they were 3. They are now in the past couple years able to be on the internet. They are not allowed to be posting things or going to chat groups and the like. They are allowed to go to kid sites like cartoonnetwork.com and such. And my home computer is in the dining room which is near the kitchen so I can keep an eye on what they are doing. They can use the net to look up stuff for school projects but I or thier Father is there watching. We must keep an eye on what our kids are doing but I beleive a set limited time on electronics is good for kids. Solamente el fuertes sobreviven - Only the Strong Survive!

Two NYC men save falling toddler Fri Jan 5, 7:53 AM ET NEW YORK - Two passers-by rescued a toddler who fell four stories, scrambling to catch him as he tumbled from a fire escape, police said. Julio Gonzalez, 43, and Pedro Nevarez, 40, saw 3-year-old Timothy Addo dangling from a Bronx building on Thursday, police said. The boy had crawled out of a window when his baby sitter briefly took her eyes off of him, police said. "He was hanging on for dear life," Gonzalez said. Hearing people in the building scream for help as the boy's grip weakened, the men rushed over to position themselves under the fire escape to catch him. "No one came," Nevarez said. "We knew it was up to us." The boy tumbled and hit Nevarez in the chest so hard he knocked him off balance, but he bounced into Gonzalez' arms. Timothy was treated at the hospital for a cut on his forehead. "He's fine. He's happy. He's smiling," said his mother, 26-year-old Katrina Cosme, who was working at the time of the accident. Police talked to the baby sitter, and an investigation was continuing Friday, Detective John Sweeney said. The crucial catch came two days after a bystander threw himself onto a Manhattan subway track to save a man who had fallen, and a day after three police officers delivered a baby on a Brooklyn subway platform. "This is the week of heroes in New York," Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said. Solamente el fuertes sobreviven - Only the Strong Survive!
keriazJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1719 | Posted: 2 yearss ago When my kids were little (They were????) they use to play in a cabinet in the kitchen that had all plastic containers like Tupperware. They really enjoyed making noise and taking out n putting away. Also enjoyed building with Blocks. That is good for dexterity. They also enjoy knocking the blocks down. Might find some different textured cloths and safe items so she/he can explore different feelings. Learn numbers and letters not to mention colors. Always a good idea to work on that. Always remember SUPERVISION!!!! Never take your eyes off your children for a second!

I tend to use words now that will make others stand there looking at me like a deer in the head lights. LOL. I hope that my articles will help empower you all to help one another in need.

keriazJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1719 | Posted: 2 yearss ago People do the most dumbest things when it involves children. And thinking that harming a child is the best way to get back at another parent is just f'd up. I hope she is stuck in jail for the rest of her life. Lucky that the father found the baby in time. How horrible. Solamente el fuertes sobreviven - Only the Strong Survive! |
