He seemed really vulnerable to germs and was constantly catching colds. With my other children they are 7 and 6 and they have never had a flu shot and they have always been fine. This year I am going to skip the flu shot.

I also have a little Halloween lantern that we will be bringing with us. It can blink or stay on and it makes spooky sounds. We bought it at Fry's for like $2. Jacob loves it.

Thats a great tip, thanks!!Teach your children to sing the ABC's or HAPPY BIRTHDAY two times while washing thier hands with warm water and soap.
I have heard about Zicam. I was never sure if it really worked though. Next time I get really sick I'll try it. Hopefully that wont be anytime soon. lol

(he looks sooo cute) and my daughter is going to be Snow White. The kids always get so excited after they get their costumes. Now they have started a countdown until Halloween.
9 more days!!!

azheatherJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1038 | Posted: 2 yearss ago We were just talking about haunted houses last night. Last year Alice Cooper had a haunted house. I havent heard about it this year though. Someone had posted some flyers advertising a haunted house near AZ Mills. I've never heard of before. Maybe check on www.azfamily.com ... they usually have posting of local events. I'm too much of a wimp, I dont think I will ever go to a haunted house.
As for the fair, I completey know what you mean. We were thinking of going, but now we're debating it because of the cost and the crowd.

azheatherJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1038 | Posted: 2 yearss ago We just did 1st b-day parties with family. Always had cake and pizza. We would just decorate with balloons. Nothing too fancy, since they dont even know whats going on. Like someone said on another post, Its mainly for the adults. I'd save the big parties for when they get older, because trust me they will be wanting big b-day parties.

When I was young I knew that if I did something really bad I was going to be spanked. Of course there were times I did it anyway, but I sure thought twice about ever doing it again.
Like last year when those boys robbed and shot those 2 boys at subway. That was horrible and I just think if maybe those kids were disciplined a little more maybe that would have never happend. I'm also sure that there are also kids that do have strict parents and end up doing horrible things anyway.

azheatherJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1038 | Posted: 2 yearss ago For my daughters 1st halloween we dressed her up and took her to see family. We made our rounds to all of the neighbors, and then we did some trick or treating with her cousins.
I would definetly take her to go and show her off in her cute costume!
Im sure she'll enjoy it.:D
My son is 1 1/2 and we are going to take him along. He is going to love it. Plus me and my boyfriend will get to eat his candy.
(Alexis and steven will like that cause then we wont be stealing theirs):D

Those are the best pics!!
I think the huge smasher cake is fun. Kids like to get messy, so you put one candle on a big cheap cake and take a bunch of pics while they make a mess. Heather

azheatherJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1038 | Posted: 2 yearss ago Im so sorry keriaz. I really admire you for what you do. Helping to save lives and actually caring for the people you help. You must be a really good person and strong. I dont think I would be able to go through that all the time. I would be a wreck.
I just wanted to let you know that you and the work you do are greatly appreciated!!

azheatherJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1038 | Posted: 2 yearss ago I see on a lot of those wifeswap/meet you new mommy shows how spoiled those girls act (and even the boys). The way they talk back, the way they dont want to help out with chores because its gross or whatever. Or they have something better to do. And the parents dont even care. I would never talk back to my parents and I would NEVER talk back to a guest in my home. If I acted like that with my parents I probably wouldnt be here typing right now.
I have also received compliments about how well behaved my kids act. But like Keri said behind closed doors is another thing. But even then they know right from wrong. And it is an ongoing thing telling the kids what the rules are and what is allowed and what isnt. I just hope as long as I keep on them the way I have been they will grow up to be respectful and law abiding citizens.
