azheatherJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1038 | Posted: 2 yearss ago I just heard of My Girlfriends Kitchen friday on channel 3. I would really like to try it. The only thing I am afraid of is 1- my kids are VERY picky (so am i :o ) and 2- I am afraid of spending $200 there and then spending a lot at the grocery store for lunches and other stuff needed. I'm thinking I'll try it at least once as soon as they open in Arrowhead.

Things like waking up in the middle of the night remind me of when my children were first born. Now that they are getting older I miss those times. With my 1st 2 kids I couldnt wait until they slept through the night. Now that they are older 6 & 7 yrs) I wish I was dealing with sleepless nights, instead of attitudes and tattling, and so on. Of course I also know that right now those things might bother me, but when they become teenagers I will miss these days.

azheatherJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1038 | Posted: 2 yearss ago I had a short experience with a regular daycare and it wasnt good. I completely understand not trusting anyone with your kids. I would just do some research on both your local regular daycare and home daycare. Talk to the moms, and observe. I know a lot of daycares let you sit in and watch. Then just decide from there.
Good Luck!!

I just went to their website and in one of their sections they say some new foods they will be serving. Some of them included fried brownie, fried corn on the cob, and fried coca cola. Fried coca cola:eek: ??? How do you do that??
Has anybody ever tasted their fried food. I have heard on the news their fried snickers and fried twinkies are good, but it just sounds to weird to me. Is there anything they wont fry??

Last time we went about 2 years ago, we were lucky to find a parking lot that was $5. It was just luck, because we were just about to leave. There were some people charging $20 to park. Its ridiculous. I do want to take Jacob, so he can see all the lights. When Alexis was little we took her and she loved it. The bad thing was trying to push the stroller around. It was a pain with so many people.
i wanted to go but at $10 to park and $10 a person to get in i dont think we will be going this year. i havent been to te fair in years we will prolly go once simon is alittle older even though right now i know he would enjoy seeing all the lights. Heather

azheatherJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1038 | Posted: 2 yearss ago I completely agree!! When we were shopping for school clothes I had a hard time trying to find shorts that werent too short for my daughter. It was like all of the choices were short shorts. I couldnt find anything in between. My daughter is 7 and finding clothes for a 7 yr old is harder than it should be. I think there are a lot of cute clothes out there, but there is also a lot of skimpy clothes too. Before we bought her school clothes I had her bend over with the shorts to see if they are too short. If they were we wouldnt get it. A few weeks ago they were discussing this on the radio and someone was saying at Abercrombie and Fitch they sell thongs for little girls. I couldnt believe that!! Its ridiculous that they makes this stuff for young girls, but what is worse are the parents buying this for there children.
For now my daughter isnt into a lot of those clothes yet, but I think if I am firm with her now hopefully we wont have a problem in the future. If we do have a problem, Im not sure what I'll do.

I like to see and touch what I am going to buy, before I actually buy it. There is a webstire with really cute costumes, but I think they are for babies. Let me do a search real quick and see if I can find it. I'll let you know if I can.

While searching I did find a lot of websites with cute costumes. I just searched halloween costumes, and a whole bunch came up.
Good Luck with your search. Let us know what you find!!

What about make-up? What are everyones thoughts about wearing makeup?? I wasnt allowed to wear make up until junior high, and I was only allowed to wear lip gloss and clear mascara. It wasnt until high school that I wanted to wear eyeliner and lipstick. I never really got into the whole make up thing. Right now my daughter likes nail polish. She seems to get really into it then after awhile she loses interest.

With the shot I didnt seem to have any problems. The good thing was my period only came every 2 months.:D The bad thing was it lasted close to 2 weeks.

azheatherJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1038 | Posted: 2 yearss ago www.Kraftfoods.com ... is a good place to go. Last year i made the graveyard pudding for dessert. My kids LOVED it. As for appetizers, I tried the witch fingers. Which were just pretzel dough formed into fingers. They were nasty!! Maybe I did it wrong, I dont know. But no one liked those. Thankfully I only made them for the kids!:o

You go girl!!:D lol.
I completely agree with you!!
I admire this movement for a healthier America by the Disney Company, but shouldn't we, as parents, be taking the responsibility in obesity in our children? It just seems sad to me that people always have to "pass the buck". "How dare those people sell me a delicious snack-time treat, now, because of them, I am fat!" I don't know about the rest of the people in America, but when I spend my hard-earned monies to go to Disneyland (or any other vacation spot for that matter), I want to relax and eat whatever my heart desires, just for a day! I don't need someone else to dictate my eating regimen. And even if I did, then I would hire a nutritionist. Heather

azheatherJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1038 | Posted: 2 yearss ago We usually go out at around 6:00. Last year we made visits to family members houses and trick or treated there. We didnt get home until almost 10:00. We picked up dinner on the way home and the kids didnt get to bed until late. This year I think we will eat dinner, then go and trick or treat for about an hour or so around our neighborhood.
