With us, the light we used at home wasnt helping him and we ended up being re-admitted into the hospital. Its was so hard not being able to hold him and love on him the way you would normally, but I always told myself things could be much more worse. I wish you all the luck and hopefully his levels will go down soon. Just hang in there! Heather

azheatherJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1038 | Posted: 9 months ago My mom was able to stay home with us but i did go to pre-school, both me and my brother. I mainly remember playing on the playground, and I remember doing the green eggs and ham lunch. I loved it there...so much fun!!

They let us try that when we first came home (since his biliruben wasnt too high), but the next day his levels were higher so then we had to stick to the light. I would just stick to the light, especially if his levels are increasing. Oh, also..our dr said keeping him hydrated helps alot...he said since i was breastfeeding and my milk hadnt come in, just colustrum he wasn being hydrated enough, so I started giving him formula along with breastfeeding.....not sure if your breastfeeding, but maybe ask your dr about that.

azheatherJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1038 | Posted: 9 months ago YAY!!! Good Job Karen! We have been battling the paci addiction here too! Weve been able to eliminate it during the day, but he still needs it to go to sleep. I told him when he turns 3 no more paci....he'll be 3 in less than a month

azheatherJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1038 | Posted: 9 months ago Jacob does that alot (he'll be 3 in april) I've noticed he does it mainly when I am busy or am not focusing all my attention on him. I take it as his way of trying to get me to focus on him and what he is saying. To me its almost the samething I do when I talk to dh..if i notice he isnt paying attention i have him repeat just so i know he is listening....
