I have actually never had a diaper pail. We have just always thrown them in the trash.

Which is always a good excuse to get DH to take out the trash!!

I have also gone over this many times. I would grab kids, pictures, & pets.

Those are the most importants things to me...everything else can always be replaced.

I let the kids watch Sprout, Baby First Tv, Noggin, Disney & Nick. I totally agree that tv has gotten way out of control...there have been many times we are watching a family friendly show, and then a raunchy commercial comes on...its aggravating! I have also notice even kid cartoons are getting a little more adult oriented. Its sad.

On the other side there are some shows out there that are pretty good. I am always watching home improvement, nature,  and cooking shows..and have learned a lot. The kids love watching animal planet and food network.

I just think they need to start rating commercials  like they do shows and stop putting these commercials on during the day and during certain rated shows. That could at least be a start.

When we were first looking to buy a home we went into a veru nice community and was really thinking of buying one of their homes until were heard what the HOA rules were.....there was no way! You could only plants certain plants that were on the list, you couldnt park on the road, and the biggest problem was you couldnt park any commercial vehicles in your driveway overnight....well Hubby is a plumber and sometimes brings his work van home.....if we moved in there, he wouldnt be able to do that. So we ended up not buying a home in an HOA community.

There is no way I could ever live with their rules. I think them wanting everyone to have nice clean yards is great, but all the other stuff was just crazy!

I agree, the time has just flown by. My kids start school Aug 13th, and I also am going to wait until I receive the usual list they send home the 1st week. I will be buying some kleenex....they always need that. Last year stickers were a big request, so I'll probably be buying some of those too.

I just dread the whole back to school clothes shopping....UGH, shopping for nice descent girl clothes was a nightmare last year!

I can completely relate with you Val. When my 2 oldest started spending the nights with my mom, I was a wreck. It wasnt that I didnt trust my mom, it was just that I hated having them away from me. But as they got older it did get easier. Now....with Jacob, he is only 2 1/2 and I think I have gotten way worse with him. He has only been away from me for about 2 hours...no more. My mom has tried to get me to leave him to spend the night but I just cant. Its hard letting go of our babies....even though I KNOW they are perfectly safe, they are going to have fun...its just hard! But look at it this way.....you'll be able to get away for a week, come home refreshed and re-energized!! All of us moms need that every once and awhile!!
